goHarddrive/Apethouse/goHDD are known among multiple forums/websites as Counterfeiters and Fraudsters. Please try to avoid them. (Sources listed below).
I bought more than 10 Hitachi 2TB and 3TB drives from them, all listed as "New" condition.
Upon receiving the drives, I noticed they had small scratches on them as if they had been installed before.
Some also had the manufacturing date erased/blanked out.
Once I installed them, 2 were DOA (completely dead), and 2 others were showing many errors - very close to dead. All had been used before, likely in datacenters.
Most SMART Data had been partially wiped on the drives (not all of it though), but all of them had been used for at least a year, some had 3 years of use.
When I tried to get a replacement or my money back for any of the hard drives. They refused.
Among multiple forums, goHarddrive (on Amazon and NewEgg) or goHDD and Apethouse (on Ebay) are routinely hated and discussed, 99% of the time for ripping people off horribly.
GoHardDrive sells computer hard drives though various online outlets like Amazon. they use the name Apethouse on Ebay.
i got some drives from them, i highly suspectd something was off.the drive had marks and scratches. these drive where sold as new. under magifaction and the right light i could see the date on the label was bleached out, the date where 2007 and 2012 respectively. the SMART number where complete zeroed out. i found out it is quite easy to erase SMART data. these are probably all bulk server pulls with a ton of hours on them. they sell thousands of hard drives and are fraudsters IMO.
