James Yellowlees, was found by us online and at the begining was very pursuasive and comitted to organise for us a student recruitment fair in Tokyo and Osaka.
He became very pushy in the moment when we were supposed to pay. This should have been already a warning for us!
One month before the fair, we have started to get questions as he never required any additional information, which are usually needed for fairs and we started to communicate more. It was 6 days prior to the event when we recieve an email that he had a surgery and needs to cancel the event. He never responded to questions if anyone else can organise it with us on his behalf.
I have visited Tokyo and Osaka anyway on my own and found out that it has been already some time ago that he moved out of his office (still using it in email communication) and his phone is permanently switched off.
He since then proposed to organise the fair on different days, but due to the sum of all aspects we demanded on refund for a service that never happend as agreed. Since then he rarely communicates (only via email) and never gives answer to our questions.
In result we have decided to press legal charges from our home country (Switzerland) in January 2016 and take measure that professional organisation in the educational sector are all informed as well as his domain providers know of his practices.
