Bad seafood, unprofessional and rude people!
I normally get my meat, seafood, etc. from Oxxxx Sxxxxx. I thought I would try this company since I read so many great reviews. I ordered 10lbs of tuna. Half of it went bad right away because the bags weren't sealed properly.
I called the phone number on their website (425-449-3165) to see what we could do about the rotten fish. When someone answered the phone, they snapped at me and said "We are closed!" then hung-up. No 'Hello, how can I help you today?'. Incredibly rude and unprofessional.
I do not recommend Global Seafoods. I will continue to buy my meats at Oxxxx Sxxxxx.
I ordered $276 worth of Black Cod and smoked scallops from https://globalseafoods.com I'm in Houston, TX. Global Seafoods shipped the order on July 3rd and tracking said it was due for delivery on July 11th . . .about 4 days longer than the dry ice would be good for. I let Global Seafoods know and they did something that caused it to be delivered to my office on Saturday, July 8th - according to FedEX.
But I was not kept in any loop and was out of town that weekend (their website says they do not deliver on Saturday), so what I found was a box of rotten fish at the front door of my office on Monday. Very disappointing. Lesson learned. I'll pay the extra $5/lb from other sources - it's worth it.
I ordered 10 lbs of Global Seafoods' coho salmon recently. One of the packages was opened with only two fillets in it. I am not sure if the opened package contributed to the taste, but the first fillet had an extremely fishy smell. (we eat wild salmon regularly, and I was concerned that the other 9+ lbs were going to have the same strong fishy odor and unpleasant taste. Sure enough, they did.) We have been getting our frozen Alaskan coho salmon from another company who has amazing, full fillets that have zero smell but can only be bought at the local, weekly farmer’s market. We thought we'd try Global Seafoods based on the great reviews and convenience of online orders. This was a mistake. Global Seafoods' reviews are misleading. We will not be ordering from Global Seafoods again. We tried Anderson Seafoods instead, and had no problems. They were pleasant to deal with, friendly on the phone, a local American company, fast and affordable shipping, great tasting seafood.
Ordered some frozen fresh salmon, smoked salmon and caviar last May(wasn't my first order) from Global Seafoods. The box came without ice, the caviar and smoked salmon was pretty much thawed. Contacted the company and asked for at least caviar replacement. Oleg Nikitenko, the owner of Global Seafoods, first claimed they don't have same kind of caviar any longer. I have offered to pay the difference and get another kind. Oleg promised that it will be shipped first thing next business day... Never received anything...
I won't risk to order from Global Seafoods again!
