Global Payments Reviews

An aggressive Credit Card Processor Sales Rep called and told us that he could give us the lowest credit card processing rates. He asked us to fill out and sign a fomal request for quote and we did and the pricing they came back with was higher than our present credit card processor.

More than a few months later we started seeing charges on a credit card we not use and do not accces on a regular basis. Charges starting at $39.00 and then $122.00, $43.00, $142.00, $82.90 and so on for a total of $1,211.89

I called Global Payments they could not tell me what the payment was for, so I had my bank stop the payments and then I stated to get snail mail and e-mials saying that I owed NorthAmerican Bancard for credit card processing.

I asked what cards have been processd and they said none, but that they have a contract. When I told them that I was only seeking a quote, they said the it was not a quote but a signed agreement to process credit cards.

I immediately asked to cancel the account I never signed up for in the first place and have never used and asked to talk to the faud department and after about 9 different people to talk to they are working on it, but in the mean time the collection department will not stop harrassing me to pay them a cancellation fee and an outstading balance fees over $200. since I had my bank refuse to let them charge my credit card.

So I ask what did I get for asking for a quote from NorthAmerican Bancard / Global Payments nothing but $1,200 stollen from my bank account and harrassemnt from the collection department.

Never again and I need this money refunded.

I have had an account with Open Edge PayPros for about 5 years. The agreement was for no monthly fees other than a % of the amount my customer paid me. In 5 years they have honored this agreement, but suddenly started dipping $15 out of my bank account under the name of Global Payments std. When I called Open Edge they said the charge should not have been made, and I reversed the charge. I asked to close my account since I can no longer trust them to honor our agreement, but they took out another $15 the next month and refused to close my account. I have to close my bank account, because I do not have time to wait on hold for over an hour each time they do this to me. Customer service is terrible, in addition to this new problem.

During the early morning hours of 12/1/16 I tried to pay my county water & sewer bill on line using the county website. My county recently began using Lexus Nexus who I later learned uses Global Payments Checks Services, Inc. to process the payments. I became furious when the message popped on what I was expecting to be my online processed payment receipt that my check was denied and I would have to provide call Global Payments Checks Services, Inc. my full name, state drivers license number, state of issuance, full address, zipcode, full phone number, date of denial, who the check was written to, amount of the check and who it was written to. I tried leaving my information with Global Payments Checks Services, Inc. several times and each time has been told the mailbox is full. They have my checking account number and routing number and I am more than concerned. I am going to file a complaint with the Federal Government over this and if I end up having to close my checking account and opening a new one, I am going to be furious! I am also livid with my county for doing away with their old online service and using Lexus Nexus. I recommend if anyone tries paying a bill online and receives the message their check has been declined, they should file a complaint with the business using Lexus Nexus or any other company using Global Payments Checks Services, Inc. and then file a complaint with the US Goverment.
