Warning!!! Do Not use GJC Windows and Doors in Port Charlotte, Florida for your window installation. They have an overzealous salesman that emphasizes quality work when the results are far from that. I had GJC Windows change the windows in 1 bedroom, the results were 1 window that did not close and 1 window that did not open. The installer advised me to use a book to hold 1 of the windows open in the interim!!! When I tested the window, the pressure of the window dropping if a book was removed could literally chop off your fingers!!! This was a complete safety hazard, especially with a small child in the house. The installers did not even tell me about the window that did not close, I had to discover this on my own.
GJC windows proceeded with stating that everything was due to manufacturing, so the manufactures came out to do the repairs. When the manufactures came, they stated that the window that did not open was due to GJC Windows Installation. They refuse to take responsibility for anything and demand full payment. The day they scheduled installation for was rescheduled by them. Now, I sit here a month later and these windows are still not fully installed. They contacted me demanding the balance and did not acknowledge that they still had pieces of window sitting on my bedroom floor. I had to tell them about this. It's just been a terrible and unprofessional experience with GJC windows. Please dont believe the sales pitch and hire someone else.
