A friend sent us a gift card through giftly. It was for the restaurant Champy's. In the past whenever we have gotten a gift card through an email all we do is show the email to the server they scan the barcode and we can use it. Giftly does not work like this. The person who sent it to us did not know it worked this way either.
We went to Champy's and ordered our meal and then when the bill came we tried to use the gift card that came in the email. When we clicked on redeem they were three choices for us, one, give them your bank account so we could be deposited there within 2 to 3 business days, teo give them your PayPal account, three request a gift card in the mail.
We ended up having to pay for the meal ourselves and we filled in the information to have it deposited into our account but we did not get a confirmation nor did we get that we didn't do something right. Try to contact these people and it's almost impossible and you have to wait at least 24 hours for them to get back to you.
Getting a gift from someone it's not supposed to be stressful. This was extremely stressful and continues to be stressful. I do not want my friend to be out the $50 and I wanna make sure that we are reimbursed since we had to pay for the meal ourselves.
I have read so many complaints online. There is currently a class action lawsuit because GĂftly has used all kinds of businesses names that they can provide gift cards for them without the businesses permission. Stay away from this company and do not purchase gift cards from them. We will wait and see what will happen if we will even get the $50 that we were given.
Here is what happened and why this COMPANY is being listed. Around last december 2018 I was notified that I would be the recipient of a 10 gift card that had been sent to me as a gift and unfortunately it was never received. I notified the sende r as this fact and she offered to call and find out the info which was found out; then the fun really began as the people at giftly did not want to help me out at all and required lots of phone calls in order to get an answer
so after jumping through what seeemed like at least 2 dozen hoops I received some information that they said I need to contact OMNICARD to resolve the issue which I did but again to no avail. Finally after months of correspondence we are going on at this time about 4 months of correspondence but wait it gets better with age!!!! I was able to make contact via phone certainly not for lack of trying with someone at OMNICARD who stated that I need to fill out information and send it in with a copy of what I had. So I did this fully expecting there to be no response or a lackluster effort of a response which proved to be an accurate assumption on my part, so once again it was off to email land where they eventually denied my claim despite all the proof I had presented to them with EXACT dates as to what had happened.
Through this research effort I was able to determine that the card that supposedly was purchased and sent to me had been used at a town and Country car wash in Huntington Beach CA on a date after the original card was purchased . The funny thing is I have never in my life ever visited this particular business so I never found out where my card was and felt completely ripped off Bottom line is NEVER NEVER EVER USE GIFTLY for anything on yelp i would give them a negative 100 star review if I could.
I got received this as a gift. I opted for the gift card. It didn't come in the two weeks it takes to get it delivered. They said it was lost in the mail. They offered to resend it and once again, it got "lost in the mail". I contacted them and they wanted to deposit directly in my account. If I can't trust them to use the mail, why would I trust them with the routing and account number to my checking account. These people are hoping that 1) you will give up as it is not worth it or 2) you will give them other info so they can access your account and do who knows what. I would not trust them. I asked them if they could send the card using tracking and now they don't reply. Not sure how you give them an A- when > 60 have negative reviews.
I ordered my mom a $50.00 gift card from giftly.com. on August 8th this year. I paid extra $10.00 for 2-3 day fed ex. deliverey. My mom never got the envelope, or gift card. today is august 24th. this is my first time using this company and I assure you it will be my last. I have no proof that the mail was delivered.
I wish to resolve this issue, but reading the reviews on this company, pretty poor. ty

Approximately one week before Christmas I ordered 2 Sprouts gift cards for $75.00 each. The recipients never received them.
