This company ripped me off. I saw an internet add promising the weight loss product Garcinia Maxx for the price of $4.92 and a product called Detox365 for the price of $4.97. Thinking that was a great price I ordered them both on Jan 30th. These products came in a regular mailing envelope with absolutely nothing included, except a mailing label with a phone number and instructions to send the products back.
I could not find anything online about this company after the initial order, nor did I receive any email communications from them. On Feb 15th I got an email from my bank about money taken out of my account and my account being overdrawn. When I checked my bank account it showed that there was a $83.50 charge for GarciniaMaxx and a $81.75 charge for the Detox365. I called my bank to try to get the charges cancelled but they said there was nothing they could do until the charges had been processed. I then tried to get a hold of someone at the company to find out what the charge was for. That took me over two weeks.
I found out that the first 2 charges of less than $5 were Shipping and Handling and that 'per the Terms and Conditions' if you do not cancel within a 14 day period your account will be charged the $80+ for the product. When I asked about getting my money back she said that was not possible because the two week trial period had ended. I have filed a complaint with my vb\\bank and also plan to file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau.
I did not order any Garcinia Maxslim yet they sent me one bottle. I attempted to return the bottle and they would charge me a restocking fee the same as if I bought a new bottle. This would be classified as overbilling.
I too ordered a trial of Garcinia Maxslim for $4.95. Since I'd never been scammed before, I didn't check credit card bill until 3/11. Was charged $87.10 on 2/6. Since that's a month ago, no doubt no refund will happen... unless I work up the energy to do battle on the phone. How do companies get away w/ this? Next question: what is this stuff, anyway. Probably talcum powder.
On 2/5/18 This website popped on on my phone, when I was browsing Pintrest for uses of vinegar. This poped add popped up... It looked interesting, so I clicked on it (no webside was indicated) to see what it was all about, and began reading. Before I knew it this product was ordered and so ws the Detox Now. There was NO place to cancel the order, I did NOT provide a credit card NOR did I provide my checking account #. Both bottles arrived a few days later. with ONLY a shipping label. Nothing was mentioned that it was a 14 day trial period and order should be canceled so the charges (of $85+) were not made to my checking account.
On 3/6/18 I'm balancving thechecking account and there is a $85.90 charge made on 2/23/18 for Detox botte I did NOT order. I Went on the internet looking for GETSLIM365 and there is all kinds of negative reviews and complains of being riped off by other individual who have gone through the sam scam as myself. I did manage to get a phone number on one of the websites and called GET SLIM365. They were slick, would not let me say anything, clainmed I had agreed to their terms and conditions... but there was no box to click agrrement to terms, as was indicated to me when I called on 3/6/18. The young man (with a heavy accent) did say I could return the products but would have to pay a $19.95 restocking fee for each bottle IF they had not been opened. I tried to talk to him to indicate I had NOT agreed to their terms. He said they would not haave shipped out the product IF i had not agreed. THEN HE HUNG UP!!! I call this BS. How can someone knowingly do this to others? How are they allowed to stay in business? Why?? I WAS JUST LOOKING FOR USES OF VINEGAR
I filled out all info required and after I got ok they then said it was an on going subscription so I canceled it . It was canceled on my end but didn't on theirs so the continued to charge me 80 dollars twice in the same month. had to call to get refund and the refuse to give me a full refund. still had to pay almost 40 dollars for a product that was supposed to be a free trial and only pay shipping and handling. Do not trust this company they will rob you.....
On June 3, 2016 an ad popped up on my Ipad for a Garcinia Maxslim (by GetSlim365) free 30 day trial for $4.95 shipping and handling. I placed an order and received the shipment approximately 10 days later, and discovered that the credit card I provided during the purchase was subsequently billed $89.92 on June 17, 2016.
I contacted customer service at the number provided upon my discovery that I had been charged $89.92 and was informed that I would not receive a refund because I didn't cancel within 14 days. I did not receive notice that any additional charges would be placed on my credit card, nor did I consent to same. I also did not receive any notice that the trial had to be canceled within 14 days or any other time period.
Had I been informed of same, I never would have signed up for the trial as there is just no way that the product could work in just a few days. The math just doesn't add up. I never received a 30 day free trial.
Upon further research into the company, I discovered that they have made it a practice to rip off unsuspecting consumers.
I purchased this free trial for my daughter to show her that I fully support her weight loss journey, and am very upset and disappointed at the cloud this experience has placed on a gesture made out of love. I do not have the means to just throw away $89 as I am on a fixed income and taking care of my elderly mother.
Enclosed, please find copies of other complaints filed against GetSlim365 for the same fraudulent billing issues that I encountered, as well as a copy of the complaint I filed. I have also enclosed, for your convenience, a list of the websites that popup when I type Garcinia Maxslim getslim365 in the search bar and a copy of the initial weight loss offer for Garcinia MaxSlim and a picture of the bottle I received.
Saw add on internet. free samples, pay shipping only, 30 day supply Garcinia Maxslim & Detox Now. ordered on May 30, 2016 estimate delivery date June 3,2016. received June 06,2016. On June 17,2016 my credit card was charged $165.00 dollars for both items. I called customer service and asked, " why the charge?" only two weeks of trial period & I did not authorize any charges. I was told that the charges were for the trial samples, that the trial period was only two (2) weeks and since i didn't cancel I was charged. I asked why the 30 day supply, but got no answer,
only that their trial period is 2 weeks (14 days from order date). I said cancel my trial and any future orders in their files, i want a refund of the $165.00 to my bank card. Was told only $130.00 refund & cancellation of account is offered, no other options. If I didn't accept refund they would close account and leave me to other choices. WHAT a RIP OFF. false/missleading advertising. Don't patrinize this business, there nothing but a ripoff. I have reported them to consumer affairs office, BBB, & attorney generals office. BUYER beware!!!
I went on internet saw this ad for garcinia maxslim and detox said it be only 4.95 to get and they send well that's fake they charged me over 69.99 for them and I told them take bottle back they won't now I have to cancel card
