I was looking for a persoanel loan. They required very little information! Once you apply, they tell you that a representative from one of their lenders will contact you. My representative was en Smith from CW Loans. He had anaccent and his number claimed to be from Adams, NY. He confirmed my information that I had already filled out online. I tried to call them and the guy who answered is like Ben is trying to call you! Hang up and answer his call. He then called me back with a loan offer for $20k for five years at 8% interest with no prepayment penalty. Once he confirmed my info, he launched into his Amazon gift card bit. I was to go purchase 1 $200 and 1 $150 gift card for Amazon. Then when he called back, Amazon would confirm my cards. Then I could spend the cards however I wanted or use them for my first payment. He said that I had to use cash only when buying the cards!

While we were speaking I was getting suspicious. I googled them and ended up finding that this was a scam. I have stoped answering their constant phone calls! When he called back after like the 6th time in 5 min, I told him I had the cards. Then he transferred me to who was suppose to be an Amazon rep.. The next man also had an accent and tried to get the numbers off of the card. I then told him I wanted to speak with his supervisor. he put me on hold and then came back trying to be the supervisor with a strange different voice! When I confronted him about the scam he got angry and hung up on me! He then called me back! l I then told him I knew what he was up to and that I would be putting this on the internet and reporting him to the FBI.

I am lucky I didn't lose any money! I to signed up with !

This site offers personal loans. They require very little information and tell you that a representative from one of their lenders will contact you. My "representative" was Brian Scott from CW Loans. He had a slight accent and his number claimed to be from Adams, NY. He confirmed my information that i had already filled outonline and then asked to call me back in 15 minutes. He then called me back with a loan offer for $60k for three years at 6.5% interest with no prepayment penalty. He then got my banking info and driver's license number. That's when he launched into his Amazon gift card bit. I was to go purchase 3 $200 and 1 $100 gift card for Amazon. Then when he called back Amazon would confirm my cards. Then i could spend the cards however i wanted or use them for my first payment. He suggested that my process would go faster if I used cash but that credit or debit would work.

While we were speaking i was getting very suspicious. I started googling and searching for clues. I put him off for a little while. When he called back, I told him I had the cards. Then he "transferred" me to Amazon. The next man also had an accent and tried to get the numbers off of the card. I then told him I wanted to speak with his supervisor. he put me on hold and then came back, comically speaking in a deeper voice! When i confronted him about the scam he got angry and "transferred" me back the the loan guy. I then told him I knew what he was up to and that I would be putting this on the internet and reporting him to Amazon.

Luckily, I didn't lose any money (so far) but i did sign up with LifeLock as soon as I got off the phone. I have also contacted my bank regarding any unusual activity on my accounts.

I am furious that they are targetting people who are already in need of funds. I hope this helps someone avoid the same problems.

On 8/9/15 i received phone call from 650-646-7594, didn't pick up the phone but someone left the message that my loan aplication has been approved. Ok, sounds great to me. So i called him back - first suspicious, number i called 650-646-7594 Palo alto, ca) was re-directed to 202-709-4086 which doesn't sound like california. He introduced himself as jerry stiffler, his accent sounds foreigner Middle eastern, i assume). I asked him what the loan company name and the address. He didn't tell me and claimed, he called me from call center. I felt a red flat.

He informed me that my loan is approved, just need to verify some information. I didn't give him my info but seemed like he already had it in hand which is pretty scary. I just said yes by return while he was reading my info. Right after that, he told me - the way to verify my income status and guarantee that i would be able to pay off the loan each month. At least i should be able to buy a amazon gift card in the amount of the monthly payment in cash. And i can use that card to pay off the 1st month loan. Sounds strange, but i still went along. Mine was $400 something. After that,he would call me back to get the receipt# once i purchase the card, along with my driver license number and bank account. Once all these verified, he would transfer the loan to my bank account.

Our conversation ended up there. Instead of rushing out to buy the gift card and hope to get my loan asap.

The other complaint and mine are almost the same;

The guy's name is jerry stiffler. Phone numbers are different from another report but the extension is the same #93. He gave us the same loan ref# 97930094. He asked the same thing - go to purchase the amazon gift card in the monthly of loan payment. Then he will ask for driver license# and bank account#

I also found the compliants under this same name "jerry stiffler" on several websites in several phone numbers 631-954-4571, 585-283-8485, 253-397-1679. Getloandeal.com, cashnetusa.com. He claimed on my call that he was from option one finance.

In some situations, people are very vulnerableable So am i) and there are always predators who want to take advantages. Please be aware. This guy should be arrested!!
