Grant Baldwin and his course Booked and Paid to Speak is a SCAM Please understand I am not an internet provocateur but rather a reasonable and Ivy League educated individual who wishes to save others the frustration and fraud I experienced. I joined Mr. Baldwin's course on 10/02/2015 at the url http://www.bookedandpaidtospeak.com/overview and requested a refund on 10/22/2015 whereas being fully compliment and within the alleged 30 day refund window which states "If after 30 days you don’t absolutely love Booked & Paid To Speak, just email us and we’ll refund every penny." I have no problem investing in my education but found Booked and Paid to Speak to lack the depth and quality I was hoping for. Therefore, within the guidelines laid out by Mr. Baldwin, I emailed requesting a refund and was met with radio silence.

10/24/2015 Emailed [email protected] requesting refund; no response. 10/26/2015 Emailed [email protected] requesting refund; no response. 10/27/2015 Left message at 417.773.0989 requesting refund; no response. 10/28/2015 Left message at 417.773.0989 requesting refund; no response. On 11/03/2015 (interestingly one day PAST the refund window) I received an email response from someone named Lisa Klug asking me to "show us you actually did the work, watched the videos, and completed the suggested steps and we’ll issue you a refund. I replied informing Ms. Klug I simply wished for a refund as the course did not meet my expectations. I never heard back from them.
On 11/05/2015 I contacted American Express to reserve the charge and discovered that I was furthermore charged $1,379.00 on 11/03/2015 the very day I made it clear I wanted a refund. Perplexing timing wouldn't you say? Mr. Baldwin's marketing and online persona lead you to believe that he is "the guy next door" someone whom you can trust or would share a beer with. Sadly, this experience leads me to believe he is only interested gathering your credit card credentials and extracting money overtime hoping you will overlook it on your statements. I initially found this course through an email I received from John Lee Dumas of Entrepenuer on Fire. Upon further reviewing that email there is no mention on an affiliate or monetary relationship which, if disclosed, would have led me to do further investigation before deciding if this was a prudent investment.
The good news is American Express reversed all charges and I've found an exemplary speaker training program with Jack Canfield of Chicken Soup for the Soul Fame. My desire in posting this review is to urge you to proceed with caution before handing over any of your sensitive information or doing business with Mr. Baldwin.
