I received a coupon from Germain Nissan for a free oil change with recall. I wasn't sure I would qualify. You see, I had already gone in for the minor key recall, so I called them. We purchased our new Nissan Rogue Sport in 2019 from Germain Nissan on Morse Road in Columbus. We knew the salesman, a great guy! At the time of purchase, we switched our auto and homeowners to a Germain agency within the dealership.
I called Germain about my valuable coupon. The nice lady saw that the recall had already been done, but told it would be ok, and asked me to bring the coupon when I came.
At the oil change I explained my situation, and presented my coupon. The mechanic told me he would ask his boss, Chelsea. She told him, no way. I asked to speak to her, but she still said, no way. I explained to Chelsea that I had driven 30 minutes to get there, and was told to, just bring the coupon, but by then Chelsea was angry. Chelsea was rude, so i told her she could do whatever she wanted, but if she refused the coupon, I would post my story. At that point she literally had me escorted from the building.
Germain Nisssan is not alone in offering something, and then taking it away. I think these big corporations must give their new hires a personality test, and the nice people become salesmen, but the mean ones work in the service department.
