We have been members of Starpoint Resorts since my husband came home from Iraq and we took a long weekend on them and were suckered in. We have been paying for it ever since, over ten years of fees and dues and besides the one weekend where we were shown the great resort in Las Vegas we have never been able to book a vacation since. No trades to another legitimate timeshare to vacation where we wanted, as promised, or use at another sister company either. We have put thousands of dollars in and gotten not one benefit out. At this point we just want out and we can't find a way to get out of paying.
Geo Holiday also know as Saphire Resorts changed their name to keep scamming people. They have very good sales people but don't deliver on all that they say they would give. Their paperwork is very informal and very hard to beat. Once you are locked in it is very difficult to get out of it. Their resorts and dates are the worst. I went through a divorce and in the divorce it says that I am the owner of the time share because I pay and my ex wife walked away from it yet they didn't help me to make it so it's only mine. The fees are the worst and their point system is a fraud. I still have to see what the benefit would be. I had told the guy I was a veteran and I didn't have a lot of money he gave me a big speech about how he is trying to help[ me cause he is so thankful for my service, I wish he wasn;t so grateful and would have let me walk away. I pray that I can get out of this somehow since the divorce gave me a big financial hit. If these people had any heart which they don't and they would let me walk away from this but they don;t and they truly don't care about veterans or our service. Do yourself a favor and stay away from these people as I am struggling trying to pay to try and salvage my credit. They take advantage of veterans and of families.
