On September 14, 2015, I attempted to purchase a nootropic supplement for my aging mother. I was intrigued by the Geniux product, not to mention the decent price with free shipping. This is where my nightmare began...
Once I ordered one (1) bottle of Geniux for $48.00 and free shipping, I was bombarded with ads for additional products all of which I refused before my transaction would be complete.
As soon as I put in my credit card information, I immediately received an invoice for the following: 1 bottle of GeniuX $48.00, 1 GeniuX 3- bottle Special offer I Did not order for $75.00, tax, Handling? $6.95, Secure Processing fee? $3.34 for a total of $ 142.06!
And heres the kicker, I received two email receipts, one for $62.00 with no breakdown and one for $80.06 for items I did Not order!
All I wanted was what was advertised and nothing more. Nowhere was tax, handling, and secure processing fees mentioned, the site also did not allow you to see your final purchase before the transaction was a done deal.
I have notified my credit card company regarding this deceptive practice and unauthorized charges along with calling the GeniuX customer support, where I was asked to hold several times but not actually being put on hold. The guy simply put the phone down as I could hear the background noise. He said he would refund me 60% of the charges, I said No I want a full refund and requested he connect to someone who could help me.
So after being put on "a fake hold" for 30 minutes and never speaking to upper management, I am no closer to resolving this unfortunate situation.
What really struck me as odd as when I explained all the additional unauthorized charges he never once disputed it? Hmmm?
Do yourself a favor steer clear of this back garage operation, I can only imagine what is in their product?
