GE KNOWS THAT THERE IS A PROBLEM WITH THE COMPUTERS ON THEIR WALL AIR CONDITIONERS, WHEN I ASKED IF THERE WAS AN UPGRADE TO THE COMPUTER THEY SAID THERE WAS NOT.

THERE ARE OTHER PEOPLE ON YOUTUBE THAT ALSO COMPLAINED ABOUT THE COMPUTER ON THE FRONT OF THE AIR CONDITIONER.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ySdFY1HyjU8&t=25s

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Cmu9sI1kuwY

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mkzDkNhBxcs

PLEASE NOTE THE COMPUTER FAILS ON OTHER MODEL NUMBERS ALSO EVEN THOUGH ITS A DIFFERENT MODEL NUMBER IN THE VIDEO.

THE DEFECTIVE REPLACEMENT AIR CONDITIONER HAD A COMPUTER PROBLEM AND THE COMPUTER WAS REPLACED BY A GE REPAIRMAN IN MAY 2022.

I WAS TOLD PRIOR TO THE REPAIR BY GE THAT THE WARRANTY WAS EXTENDED HOWEVER WHEN THE REPLACEMENT UNIT HAD A PROBLEM IN WHICH IT MADE FAN BLADE NOISE AND DID NOT GO ON THEY REFUSED TO REPLACE IT.

2 VIDEOS WERE EMAILED TO GE OF THE NOISE IT WAS MAKING YET GE REFUSED TO REPLACE IT UNDER WARRANTEE.

THEY OFFERED TO REPAIR IT HOWEVER GIVEN THE PROBLEMS IT HAD WITH THE COMPUTER AND NOW THE FAN BLADE NOISE I REQUESTED A REPLACEMENT BECAUSE MY CONCERN IS WHEN THEY WARRANTY RUNS OUT I WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR REPLACING THE UNIT.

The false scam company it claims to be. Somehow found my email address and sent harassing emails into my inbox. I would like it stopped, I don't know who, or what ge has to with loans.

I do not have a loan thru the scam company. They were wanting me to send them money that I do not owe. I have never heard of the embarrassing shameful company.

Bought $900 DE dishwasher from Home Depot. GE delivered it,installed it the following day. Dishwasher did not work. Called Home Depot and they would not take it back because GE refused to have it returned. GE sent out a repair tech who informed me he could not repair it and also told me 1out of every 4 GE dishwashers have some problem. He said it should be replaced but GE refuses to do this, It has been 3 weeks since my purchase and nothing has been done to solve this.

Home Depot has informed me GE refuses to take the dishwasher back in spite of the fact that I reported the problem within 24 hours of purchase. They now say they will eventually send someone out to replace the control panel but can not say when, I can only advise others to buy a dishwasher from another manufacturer

I bought a GE dishwasher and the second year it needed $200 worth of repairs. I chalked it up to bad luck. Now this year it won't run at all! It needs a SOFTWARE UPDATE!!!!! WTF? Why does my dishwasher need a software update?

It also needs a heating element! Why the hell would it already go out? Last year it was the computer ..... I don't even have a bluetooth version of a dishwasher. Whatever happened to just wash the dishes and turn it on and the basic stuff....what idiot at GE thought hey let's make it so people have to pay $100 for the PART ONLY for a softward update and then another $100 for the mileage, trip and labor!

This is so shady and I thought GE was better than Samsung but maybe they both just cheat the consumer out of the money they can't afford to spend to begin with.

  • Apr 22, 2020

I purchased a GE Dishwasher on 11/15/2016. This dishwasher replaced a very good dishwasher that I purchased in 1999 that worked for 15 years. The GE dishwasher I purchased never was as good as my prior dishwasher. By the end of 2015 the dishwasher was horrible. Since I had purchased a 3-5 year protection plan I called the carrier Asssuri and after some difficulity they sent a repairperson.

They did not have the parts and I had to wait for about a month before they could return. The repair did nothing!!!!!! The dishwasher does not clean and does not dry. I'm hoping I can save others who are considering making a dishwasher purchase so heartache. I have purchased another dishwasher and you guessed it....it is not a GE. Never again.

Do NOT buy a ny type of GE refrigerator. We have had to have the fan motor replaced 3-times within 4-years, 2x at our expense of $299 each time. GE says it is out of the 1-year warranty and will not cover. These GE appliances we found are built in Mexico, are poorly built and use even poorer parts. We are going to buy a freezer for our garage and will look at Whirlpool, Samsung or Maytag!

Our family has 4 new G.E. Appliances and the refrigerator has never worked, the refrigerator never gets above 32 degrees and freezer fluctuates 5-7 degrees (basically frozen groceries and melts icecream). We have used a weeks paid time off for five service calls, the techs have never fixed or improved the problem. The first service call resulted in the tech. Saying he thought it was 1 of 2 sensors and he had no way of knowing which one so he would guess. They never attempted to replace the 2nd sensor during the other service calls. The tech called me at work which is 40 min from my home and asked if I’d be willing to meet him earlier than the scheaduled 4 hour service window, I agreed and shortly after getting home he called and said he changed his mind and showe up almost 5 hour later. He spent about ten minutes in home and ordered 3 parts which were shipped to me. Third service call he installed 1 of the 3 parts and left with the others. Fourth call the tech spend 45 min looking at fridge and decided to replace the part already replace during third visit. I pointed this out so he said he would replace the "motherboard " and said it’s just a guessing game at this point. Fifth call was no results. the refuse to replace with a working unit. I’ve explained we can’t continue to miss work because we have a family medical issue and can’t afford a new fridge or continued loss of groceries.

Glenda Stiles of GE ELECTRICAL SERVICES LLC of Las Vegas, NV refused to allow their former 18 yr old employee to have a witness to him receiving the money they illegally withheld on his final check. Standing quietly at the door while Glendas husband calmly explained to the ex employee that he had to sign for the cash given instead of a check when out of nowhere this woman, who I later found out was Glenda Stiles, came rushing into the front office being belligerent and demanding his 2 witnesses GET OUT OF HER OFFICE. We quietly left and she proceeded to slam the door, hitting the 2nd witness in the arm and locking the front door, locking the 18 yr old in her office. As the ex employee was leaving we could hear her talking at almost a yell to 2 current employees that the ex employee had to bring back up to handle his problems for him, mocking an 18 yr old, and proceeded to yell at the top of her lungs at the ex employee in the parking lot. Glenda Stiles is also refusing to provide the ex employee his daily work logs for his records as there is a discrepancy in her company withholding over time and "banking" it so GE ELECTRICAL SERVICES LLC can stay in a lower tax bracket. Per the Nevada employment standards these documents cannot be withheld. I have never seen such unprofessional behaviour in an adult, let alone a business owner.

GE money Captial Bank, Jack Williams. On October 25th a Jack Wiliams texted and left me a voicemail from 941) 799-8765 stating that I was approved for a $5000 loan from GE Capital Money Bank. I called to inquire about and to show my interest in obtaining the loan, at that time I was told by Jack Williams that I needed to pay $50 for the insurance on the loan. I then proceeded to tell him that I do not have the money and that I would have to borrow it, he then stated that he will hold my appication open till the next day so I can obtain the $50.

I called back the next morning on October 26th with the $50 and he proceeded to tell me that I needed to go to a CVS I ask him why the money couldn't be taken out of my account he stated to me that it would take up to 4 business days for the loan to be transfered into my account if it's done that way, he proceeded to tell me as I was standing in the CVS that I needed to obtain a Steam gift card. As the CVS had no more of those gift cards he then told to purchase two $25 Itunes card and put the money on there in which I did, he then proceeded to ask for the number off the back off the two cards so the insurance on the loan can be paid he then obtained the money and put me on hold as he proceeded to transfer the funds.

He then came back to the phone and stated to me that I now needed to pay $98 as my State that I live in is requiring me to pay the taxes on the loan I told him I was not made aware in the beginning of needed to pay additional money and that I already had to borrow the $50 just to obtain the loan so I do not have the additional $98 and that I should have been made aware of this at the start of the process as they already knew what state I was calling from. He then proceeded to tell me that it was not his company that was holding the funds up but the State of New Jersey because they wanted me to pay the taxes on the loan after I already paid the $50, I then explained to him that I do not have the money for the taxes a I had to borrow the $50 in the first place and that I would need to cancel the loan and for him to refund me my money.

He then stated to me that it would take 7-10 business days to refund my money back to me, I then ask him how will he refund it back to my account when the money was placed on a Itunes card, he exlpained that it will be refunded back to my account with in the time frame he stated as still trying to get me to come up with the $98. I explained to him that I was nolonger interested as I feel I just got scammed, he then proceeded to put me on hold as if he was going to speak with his Manager I was placed on hold for about 10 minutes then he hung up the call. I then received a text from his loan manager Robert Wilson 917) 965-8893 stating that if I just pay $25 he can Westren Union the money to me I explained to him that I already paid $50 why am I being asked to pay more when they have already taken money from me he continued to request the $25 from me, I let Robert know that Ii nolonger wanted the loan as it feels like a scam to get people money under false pertenses, he stated to me that I can report them if I would like but there is nothing going to be done about, I then decided to look them up to find any complaints on them and found numerous complaints on them doing the same thing to others.

Bought a NEW house. Remove all of the NEW appliances and replaced with GE appliances. 20 months later the washer vibrates and shudders so loud it wakes our son. Now the microwave shoots sparks and melted the plastic that holds the center rack in. Tech comes out for the washer. He fills the washer with every towel in the house. Its so full I don't see how it can effectively wash. Noise is gone. So tech says I have to cram it full for it to not shudder and vibrate..... So the washing machine can only wash extremely large loads??? Most recently tech comes out for microwave. Says "the center rack is only supposed to be in when its being used." I use the rack often.. It should not have does this after only 20 months. The real issue is the paint is to thin and cheap that it takes nothing for metal to get exposed and once metal is exposed in a microwave we all know what happens. Microwave destroyed, washing machine useless. Whats next. The fridge is even loud when it starts up. How can this be?!?! Now I have no microwave, a washer that is about to destroy itself, and NO confidence in the appliances i spent over 5k on!!! Your tech calls back 3 days after the day she said she would to tell me that you can offer a discounted unit for $300 If I wanted another piece of garbage I could get it on craigslist for $100. It is absolutely unacceptable for GE to design their equipment to fail right after a warranty is expired. I have only bought GE for my entire life after working for GE 20 years ago!!

Filed report with BBB and I get a call GE.

There are obviously issues with my dryer that no tech will address. We both came to the same conclusion that if they cannot SEE anything broken then it works ok. Even though you cannot wash a small load without the EXTREME noise. I made him aware that other front load washers by LG and Samsung do not do this.

I was offered a microwave now for $156. If I have to shell out ANY cash its going to be for something other than GE. I can honestly say after all of this I will never have another GE product in my house. GE is giving American products a BAD name. You are lining your executives pockets by skimping and cutting corners.

Now I have to decide what to do with mt GE Water Softener, GE profile Fridge, GE Fridge, GE Washer, GE range, GE Microwave (broken), GE washer, GE Dryer, and even the GE Bulbs.

Recently I moved into a new construction townhome. While unpacking I attempted to use the dishwasher. Each time it did not flush the soap out nor did it dry the dishes. Only upon spending $108.95 did I discover that the never used applicance had a bad motor. Now they want another $480 for the motor of their applicance. I am stunned. In the meantime I have spent hours on calls, waiting for support and service.

This company WAS an American icon. I am horrified that they think this is an acceptable way to do business.

BTW their customer advocacy department is a joke. I had the displeasure of working with Ernestine. While she was following protocol she was domanieering and not remotely simpathetic to my experience, but judging by what I read on line this is constant. GE applicances - at least - are absolute garbage....I'd buy used before ever buying another GE applicance.

Was contacted by e-mailed about being approved for a personal loan. Replied and someone from the company called me. We talked and everything seemed good. I've been looking g for a personal loan and was having trouble because of my credit reports. I was then sent a contract by them for me to look over and sign. They then told me that I needed to purchase insurance policy for the loan for $100. I had to go and buy a $100 iTunes card and call then back with the number. I was told that I was going to get the no eye back. Me not thinking did it. They informed me that my loan will be direct deposited in my debit card. Which is a prepaid one. After about 1 hour I received a call from Mr. Cooper stating that the state I live in SC was Charging a transfer fee for something which was$200. I had to go and buy another iTunes card for that amount. Being excited that I was final going to be able to catch up with my bills, went and bought it. After about 2 hours I called them and they informed me that they were getting an error 4 when trying to transfer the money. That is when I started looking into everything. I then called the Mike Johnson. He was the one who sent the loan contract. He was very rude. He kept telling me that I was going to get all the money back. The loan was for $1000 and I was supposed to get back $1350, $100 for the insurance, $200 for the transfer fee and $50 for commission for buying the insurance. I looked at the contract again and noticed, my loan was for $1000, term was 6 months, monthly payment was $166.00 at 8.99%. when I calculated everything I was only paying g back $996. That's when I finally realized what was going on.

I received a call today from (201)215-4564 that ge capital has approved my loan for $6000 .The person calling names himself Sam Fletcher. He verified my income and my job info. Then he told me all the details that how much would be my monthly payment with interest rate. He kept verifying my bank information and asked me to call him within an hour. I called him few times when he finally picked up he asked me if I have online access to my bank which I said yes. Then he asked me about my username and password for online banking to check with the bank if the money has been transferred to my bank. I got suspicious and researched online about this scam. I didn't provide my username and password and said that if he is giving me loan he should contact my bank to confirm about the transfer. Then he disconnected my phone saying that he will call me within 15-20 minutes informing me about the transfer. He never called back but I did saying that he is fraud. He pretended that he can't hear me and disconnected my call. And never picked up again.

Very interesting that i was one of the unfortunate that requested a loan and was contacted by an eric brown this time, not johnson, that i was approved for a loan of 1000 but they could go to 3000 for twenty four months at 155 a month repayment. Sounds good right...Ha first your talking to foreign minority that can't speak decent english. I had to ask him to repeat several times. By the way he used two different phone numbers. After several phone calls and getting the info on myself and my bank to deposit the money i was told i needed to have an online account for my bank so they could verify my bank info. So i did this. They now want my password and user name. Gave...I;m starting to get curious so i called my bank and talked to cs there who i have worked with before.

Told her what eric was saying that they only work with certain banks and mine wasn't one of them. They wanted me to open an acct with wells fargo The bank that screwed all their members), chase, us or some navy federal bank for which i have never heard of. My bank told me that if they are a loan company they work with "all" banks. When i called him back i told him this and then he suggested i get a family member who has an account with one of their qualifying banks to accept this loan. Now i;m really suspicous. I ended up writing them a nasty letter and to delete all info supplied to them by me. I also told him i was reporting them to bbb which i did. I have all records and text messages from this scamer. Luckly they didn't get my money and i have changed my password to my acct. These people need to be investigate and shut down thrown in prison and throw away the key...

He had a very foreign accent and he tried to claim that he was from the federal government which somewhere I knew was not true so I went along anyway and he said that for me to get the money I will just have to send $500 he was sending to me back to him. Date of that I had to send the money he told me but instead I just had to buy $100 iTunes card it seems strange but he said that's the only way I could vouch to get the money vouch to get the money so I went along and I went to the store Walmart he said was only store so I'll go to Walmart and when I look at my account it says I have the $500 he sent me. So I try to purchase iTunes card and it says that my card has been declined multiple times my card it said this so I decided to call my bank and they said that the transactions that were made were fraud in fake. I try to save my account but they said that my account will be deleted September 27th I'm so pissed off because this guy says he cannot take off the money he is sent to me unless I buy a $100 iTunes card I don't know what to do please if anyone can help me I have bills to pay and I need my account but I know that it will be gone in less than 6 days. For anyone GE Capital for loans

A couple days ago I got a call from GE loan capital and I was trying to take out a $3,000 loan they said I qualified and I was sent to a man named James Cooper or at least that's what he called himself he had a foreign accent and he claimed that he could deposit the 3000 in my account today but all I had to do was take the money the $500 they were giving me and send it back for verification. I get the money deposit and in the morning I was trying to see if I could buy something but my card was saying the crying a lot so I was like okay. Then he calls back James Cooper and he asked me to go to Walmart to buy $100 iTunes card he said that was only way I can get money so I tried to go buy the card go to my Wells Fargo card kept saying declined I called my bank and they said that the checks I received or fake and that the bank is liable 2 fraud I tried to do anything to fix my account but they said that they're going to have to close my account and then I can reopen my account with them until 7 years later I'm honestly pissed the f*** off f*** these people don't trust GE Capital

I purchased an entire suite of GE kitchen appliances in December 2015 for our new home: dual fuel range, counter depth refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave and disposal. The disposal is great - no complaints.

The other appliances are another story. I purchased the appliances from an established dealer in our area. I wasn't told that all service must be performed by GE. I went to a local dealer for local service! Be sure to check if get local service before making a large purchase like mine.

I gave my salesperson my list of features that I wanted. As a home cook for more years than I want to admit, certain features I took for granted. My refrigerator does not have a catch tray for drips under the water/ice dispenser. The control panel changes settings just walking past the refrigerator door. You think the ice maker is making ice, but just getting close turns the ice maker off. I can lock the controls, but it locks all controls and all functions from working. The controls must be unlocked to dispense water and ice, then locked again.

My range cooks great but already looks old. The door window is so poorly sealed that there are drips inside the glass I cannot clean off. This is a Profile series model - how are their budget models made?

The dishwasher does not have a rinse and hold cycle or an indicator of time for the cycle to complete. I guess I need a stop watch.

Last but not least is the microwave. After less than one month of use, the touch pad appeared cloudy. A web site stated that the shipping film was not removed. I tried to remove it and, yes, my bad, I damaged the panel. We will bypass the discussion of why the touch pad is so poorly made. I now cover my hands before I use my microwave. GE told me that I could buy a new touch pad/control panel combo or purchase a new oven at cost including shipping and installation for about the same price.

The GE warranty does not cover shoddy materials, only a total break down. At the time I made my decision to exercise the replacement option, I wasn't told of GE's policy that my range must be removed to install the new microwave. We could have had the range moved before the delivery. The GE representative started to move my range over an unprotected, new hickory hardwood floor. So, we self-installed without moving the range (not hard, the bracket was already in place.) GE had the nerve to require us to pay the installation that we did ourselves to protect our floors.

When making a major appliance purchase, RUN!, not walk away from GE.

Caller calls and ask for an unknown person. They are told they have the wrong number. They indicate they know and continue to try to get your information. i.e. bank info. I told them they have to wrong number several times of them calling from different numbers from across the country. Fed up with the call I cussed them out and hung up. The person called back and tried cussing at me but I continued at him and hung up. They did not get my information but still continued to call and try. This is the second Web site I have reported them on. I will search for others.

Here we are in 2016 and GE & Home Depot may still be up to the same old tricks reported by Tyler in 2012!

In 2014, a GE Dishwasher Model GDT580SSFSS was purchased for me (by another) at Home Depot. It was installed in my home and washed dishes OK after I compensated for having a tankless hot water heater by running hot water at the tap before every fill (not just before the first fill). However, the door was very difficult to close (kept popping open when I shut it).

Had GE Repair out a couple of times and they found "no problem" with the door. Another party checked it out and found the frame of the Dishwasher was bent (and had been all along), which was causing the door issue. Luckily, the appliance was still under Warranty. In July of 2015, Home Depot arranged for GE to exchange the "damaged" Dishwasher for a brand new one, but it was replaced with a different Model, PDT750SSFSS. I was told that I was getting an "upgrade."

New Dishwasher has never cleaned my glassware properly (comes out covered with film) even though I run hot water at tap before every fill, add vinegar to every "wash" cycle, keep Rinse Aid dispenser full at all times, and use "top of the line" detergent. Have had GE Repair out three times for this issue. Last Service Call the repairman confirmed (via computer readout) the water to my Dishwasher was hot enough, so he had no explanation for why glassware is always covered with film. (When I scheduled the appointment, I had requested the Repairman bring the clear door that permit observing if spray arms are covering adequately, but he showed up without it). His computer did detect that my Rinse Aid Sensor is "bad" but he did not report it in his notes to GE .... telling me he was "going to request that GE Consumer Relations contact me to discuss replacing the Dishwasher again (with the Model I had originally), and he did not want to initiate a repair request if the appliance was going to be replaced." When I had not heard from GE after four days, I called Consumer Relations and was told that what the Repairman had actually put in his notes was that my Dishwasher is "working as it was designed to" and no follow-up was required! Then I was told that I needed to schedule another Service Call to diagnose the Rinse Aid Sensor was "bad" before GE will schedule the the repair!

Called Home Depot Customer Care (as Seller of the Dishwasher) to ask if they could assist me. Was told I have to work it out with GE since the appliance is still under Warranty.

Deplorable that these Companies teat customers this way!!

My GE refrigerator stopped cooling properly. Called GE for a technician, was told it would be $ 100 for visit & additional for parts & labor. But $ 146 for a 5 min. job to replace a $73 fan motor I think is a little much. My total bill was $341 with tax even.I don't know butI think I was ripped off. $300 more I could have bought a new fridge. I remember when I made the service call, the person told me that if I decide not repair that they could return from $50 to 100 of the Home Call Charge. Doesn't sound right. Why don't they reimburse for the Call Charge if you go ahead & have it repaired? Then you call them ( GE Cares people ) to mention this to them & they say, "we have no say in what technicians charge". Like they say, fool me once, it's on me, but it win't happen to me again. I'd rather buy from another company.

Robotic messages that call repeateldy stating that a loan approval with "your name on it," for $5000 is ready to be electronically deposited in my account upon verification of my personal information. Really? Unbelievable. I simply blocked the phishers from my phone. Resolved for me. Then thought better of it and wanted to warn others to not fall for their scam should they come your way.

One that I recently fell victim to was MyCashDay.com because I did initiate it online after receiving a phone call stating that I had been approved of a loan. Oddly enough, I really had requested a loan from a legitimate company that I have a history with online and was denied. So I proceded to follow the instructions on my voicemail stating that I was approved for a loan. Biggest mistake ever. Never do this. Learn from my mistake instead.

I put in the info needed for such a request: routing and account number, social security number (stupid, yeah, I know), and just a business po box for address though. Thank goodness for small favors.

Here's the thing, many phishers use a legitimate company's name and even duplicate their web site to look exactly like the origingal. Including using a TM trademark sign. The caller (live or robotic) tells you that you have been approved for a loan. They get your request for a legitimate loan that you may have been turned down from through systems on the Internet. Then they target you by simply gaining access to your number using many different avenues. The easiest are services like "checkmate." They pay the fee to gain access to personal information which I think Checkmate should be shut down as well. More often than not, criminals are the ones using it, not the good guys.

Anyway, here are some things to never do:

DO NOT give personal info on the internet to ANY company. Legitimate or not unless you have talked with them one on one yourself and YOU were the one that initiated the inquisition. Not them targeting you to gain inforamtion while offereing you a service.

DO NOT click on any links in an email to avoid them hacking your computer and/or causing it to crash. Instead, type the name of their website into your url yourself.

DO NOT give any personal information over the phone unless, again, you have initiated this business relationship in person. Even then, never give a pin number or social security number. Legitimate companies will not even ask.

DO NOT give money to get money. If you are offered a loan that you initiated, and not just told by them that you initiated it and you have no recall of it. No need to be desparate. If they request any amount of money in order to release your loan deposit, RUN like the wind. This is a scam.

GE Capital along with others have been targeted by phishers since they (GE and other companies) already have a legitmate company with many legitimate complaints on and offline. Whether the robotic phone call I received from GE or pretending to be from there, their intent was to steal my identity and my money.

No such luck! :)

I am writing to warn everyone out there not to buy a General Electric Monogram Fridge. They are about $12,000. I paid about $10,000 6 years ago.

My fridge has been fine until a couple of months ago and it just stopped cold turkey, no cooling whatsoever in the freezer or fridge. I called GE Monogram Concergie. They have a special line for consumers who spend such high sums for a fridge!! But it is of no help.

As it turns out, the cooling system is under warranty for 12 years! Whew! They provided me with a list of three authorized servicers in my area. The first two that I called said that they are authorized but that they refuse to repair GE monogram fridges because they are designed stupidly and GE does not pay them enough to repair them!! Finanally, the last one, A&E factory service, which is a Sears company, agreed to come after 2 weeks!! They came and diagnosed. We ordered parts all on GE, which took 10 days. They will not schedule another appointment until the parts come! Then I was able to get an appointment in 2 more weeks. We are going on 4 weeks and 10 days now friends. They came, changed those parts, said it was fixed. Next morning no cooling! Called them again, ordered a part, got an appointment another 2 weeks. They came and changed the part. Said it would work, again no cooling, and they wrote "unrepairable" on the ticket. So, after 6 weeeks and 10 days, I have an unrepairable, $10,000 fridge that I have had for 6 years!!

Many would say that this is a crime! I call it a HUGE RIP OFF and very unexpected for such a large company.

What would GE do for me?? Say sorry and offer me a $200 certificate toward the purchase of a new fridge! It is all I can do to keep for cursing right now!!!!

Please folks, do no buy GE.

In September 2014 I purchased a GE oven. Shortly after 2016 the oven appears broken or badly in need of repairs. GE does have a year warranty on their products. My warranty expired in 2015. I received an e-mail Assurant Solutions claims) they are a third party for any warranties from GE. These are extended warranites, GE Does Not have any extended warranites and uses Assurant Solutions for extended warranties. The warranties from Assurant Solutions to replace themselves from any problems from their products!. Assurant Solutions warranty to GE customers is a standard parts and labor warranty.

Trying to reach Assurant Solutions for any problems relating ovens etc is nearly impossible and very frustating. I have read on customer affairs website Assurant Solutions has 318 customer complaints! I have a service call regardingthe problems assocated with that GE oven. From the other customer complaints regarding failures for repairmen to keep appointments along with other issues, I have a huge amount of doubt I will have the repairman keeping his appointment for the scheduled date. In conclusion do yourself a large favor and NEVER purchase anything from GE!

The GE side by side refrigerator model #GSH25JFXL has a known defect where the insulation in the freezer door breaks down after 3 years and causes the water dispenser line to freeze. GE is aware of this problem and initiated a recall to replace the doors. They then went to a less expensive option which was the installation of a small water line heater (part # WR49X10173). I purchased my refrigerator from Sears who was aware of the defect at the time, but never mentioned it to me. When I contacted my Sears store to complain about the problem, I was given the GE parts 800# and told I would be able to receive the heater part for free.

Upon calling the number and speaking to rep "Shauna", I was told that since I had the refrigerator for over a year, I could not have the part for free. I now have to purchase the part to repair the defect myself. Currently we have a weed wacker cord in the water nozzle to keep it from freezing. I refuse to pay for a part, service call, or new refrigerator. I paid almost $1000 for this refrigerator and believe GE should own up to the defect and send me the part.

On Thursday December 10, 2015 I was offered a bad credit personal loan from G.E. Capital. I spoke to a loan officer named Nick Matti and he told me that I qualified for a loan up to $1000. I agreed to the terms and he put $797 on my account and he stated that I needed to wire $750 of that money on Moneygram as security deposit. The following day I found out from my bank that it was a bounced check and not a direct deposit and my account is now is -$800. I called Nick back and he assured me that the money would be put back into my account by the end of the day. So far that hasn't happened. His number is . Please contact me Jesus Munoz at if you have any questions. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

When we purchased our home 5-1/2 years ago the kitchen appliances were all GE Profile. After 3 years the microwave stopped working and was eventually replaced by GE because of a design failure. The new microwave, designed for families who can't cook, is functionally useless. Last year the ice-maker in our side-buy-side refrigerator went on the fritz and cannot be replaced without having a technician do it. Today, it started leaking water from inside the front of the freezer door from a source that cannot be readily determined. The gas range now appears to have recently started to leak gas from some internal area in the oven.

Bottom line, what ever your thinking of doing, we strongly suggest that you do not consider buying any GE Profile appliance. Our experience has shown us that they are unreliable and have presented built in defects within 3 to 5 years. Considering the cost for these appliances, your money can be better spent on more reliable products!

A woman named Tonya Brown kept calling me about a loan I was approved for of $ 5000.00 with low payments of $ 98.00 a month for 6 years which was a deal and I needed it with the situation I was in, my grandson had been missing for 3 months and I could use it to help search the places we thought his mom would go, because the law wasn't helping us and I warned him found. So I took her up on offer, I had to pay the insurance of $ 250.00, the transfer fee of $ 150.00 so I was out $400.00 in 1 hour, and my money was suppose to be in my account in 1 hour. This was July 2nd I never got the money, the next day I called talked to Kevin Parkinson, and he said will you please give a moment of silence because Don Nelson and David Maxwell had been killed in car wreck that was why I never got my money and he was working on it then. I called every day, and I called from another phone and ask to spend to Don Nelson and guess what they put him on phone, I said, well I know Jesus performs miracles, and I am so glad he raised you from the dead and then I ask him about David Maxwell and all it was, was lies. So now they are calling me again and I am going to get them with the help of one law officer, the FDIC and the Marshalls. So all you people that have been taken for a ride hopefully with a little help we are going to be rewarded.

GE does not service their own equipment and does not employ technicians as they would have you believe on their customer service site. This is a fraud to protect themselves from having to service their own equipment and pay for the deficiencies in their appliances.

The customore service department has repeatedly hung up on us as we tried to find the address of the complaint department to send the deman letter and subsequent summons when we sue them.

I would urge you to find another company with a better reputation for backing their products.

I also noticed a 19.00 a month service fee for extended warranty which means you will have paid for your appliance multiple times before you throw it in the garbage.

I received a texts from a Mark Johnson from G.E Capital. He states that I have been approved for a loan up to 10,000. No hidden fee all I need to do was verify myself and call the loan verification officer at 954-889-7102. I replied an call . I spoke with an Alex Foster he asked for my online information an like a fool I gave him it. He stated he was going to put money in my account in less than an hour but I need to withdraw the money an give it back to him to help build me credit. He put 450 in my checking an 450 in saving. because he had access to my information it was that easy. Now my accounts are frozen because the bank an I have realize this wasn't a good transaction. They also texted me from another number I thought it was wired but I still continued to do, because I need some money for extra bills. 8435954200 ws the other number.

He told me it would take 20 minutes for me to get the code to go to western union and pick up my loan amount. After 2 hours he told me the card was already registered to a lisa in a different state and needed to purchase another card. I declined and told him to cancel my loan. Alex started arguing with me and saying they will sue me for the loan amount and that I signed an agreement. i told him he was fraudulent and I hung up.

GE capital is a scam. they tell you that you are approved for a loan and tell you to purchase a green dot card and that your loan will be sent to you via western union. All lies. It is fraud.
