I paid $400 to get new back brakes from Gattos, brakes went completely out along with calibrator 1 1/2 weeks after servicing. I was in Orlando trying to finish up my Christmas shopping when all of a sudden I was approaching stopped cars awaiting for light to change.
I could not stop the care the brake pedal went all the way down on the car as I tried repetitively to stop. Luckily my car was stopped by a side walk and there was a brake servicing company opened on Sunday so I role my car to facility (Tire Plus).
I spoke with mechanic he stated that the brake pads were gone (they were also replaced on the 14th of December) brakes were messed up and calibrator this appeared. So, because of that they would have to repair back brakes all over again.
I had to pay $1000 for this services (2 days before Christmas and finishing up Christmas shopping). I cried so much that day because my son's Christmas was going to be ruined. I tried calling Gatto's that same day, unfortunately they were closed. So, the brakes and calibrator were repair by Tire plus mechanics.
They gave me an invoice and a letter stating what happened to my brakes. The mechanic stated air got in the brake (after they were repaired by Gatto's mechanic) in which caused all the malfunctions. I called Gattos the next day to informed them of the ordeal and to ask for a refunded from them and to pay me for the inconvenience of my day (pay my back what I paid Tire Plus).
I was told someone told to lets talk about the situation after Christmas. I am a very patient person, so I agreed to handle matter after christmas break. I called back and was told to bring my car in on a Saturday at 1. I brought my car back in with Gattos so they could "take a look at it". Before I left the receptionist stated that his manager would call me on Monday.
Cool, so Monday came, Tuesday came, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, then Sunday again. So I called to speak with someone about manager calling and no one has called yet. Rob told me that the manager was out since the ordeal and just got back (how convenient, right) from christmas break.
So I received a call today telling me that it's not their fault brakes went back (mind you I just got new back brakes but on 1 1/2 weeks of having to get new back brakes and calibrator). The manager also stated that I should have called them before I let Tire Plus do anything to my car because Tire Plus charged me for things that I did not need.
I am so stress from this. I just wanted my back brakes repaired and now look. I am out of $1400 and all I got to show for it is new back brakes and calibrators. Please help me. I have been crying since I spoke with the manager of Gatto's. I am a hard working single mother. I work a 9-5 saving up that money throughout the year is extremely hard. I just want my money back (I think it's rightfully owned to me).
Took my car in for an alignment four months ago at the Palm Bay location 6/21/19. Recently discovered driver's side front tire is worn on the inside.
After calling and speaking to one of the managers, I took the car back in for a recheck at the corporate location in Melbourne. I decided that they should know about a poor quality job done at one of their other locations.
There I was given several reasons why it wasn't their fault. One reason was a worn ball joint on the passenger side...which was not loose...and didn't show tire wear (does that make sense?) The other reason was that my tie rod ends were TOO TIGHT. Yes, you read that correctly.
Bottom line: Here's how I know they were lying to my face...the entire front suspension is new. THAT'S why I took the car in for an alignment in the first place. It's what you do after replacing worn suspension parts! Magically after 4 months my entire NEW suspension is so worn that the alignment is shot.
At that point I told them to take the car off the rack, I didn't trust them to touch the car. I'm currently trying to get a refund, but if corporate is willing to lie to my face, how much success do think I'll have with that?
