They said they sent a renewal notice but did not. I’ve used them before and always got a notice. Over charged me $200 this month. They would not remove charge I cancelled now told it might not be fixed for 2 billing cycles which means they can overcharge me for 2?more months
Suzanne of Gateway Energy investigation dept returned my call today and we just finished our conversation. I requested that Gateway do a month-by month comparison of their rates versus O&R Utility since March 1, 2009 up to May 2014 when I cancelled our service. She said that I can do it. I couldn't so I asked her to do it but she said she could not. I asked how much did Gateway buy with the locked in rates and how much did Gateway buy on the open market. She said she didn't know. I asked her to investigate and let me know her findings. She said "Have a nice day" and HUNG up with a slam. I had also asked how many customers on locked rates neglect to lock in their rates a second round when the fixed rates expire. I filed a report with the New York State Utility Commission. It was a waste of time. They said that Gateway acted within the bounds of the law or some other "we can't protect the consumer in such a case" comment.
