Before i moved into the unit the management had to meet the requirements of the organization that was assisting in funding my unit. The management from day one was dishonest. Jason Davis the manager told me he was the leasing agent and not the manager. He told me he never received payment from the organization and that in order for me to move in i had to pay the deposit $300 and first month rent of $500. Because I was in immediate need of housing for me and my children i paid it. For three months i stayed there comfortably until my ex husband found me and my children. I notified the office in July that i will be relocating to back to the domestic violence shelter until he was arrested by the
police department. Jason Davis told me to write a 30 days notice. My 30 days notice was handed to him in August 2015. I paid August rent not aware that Jason Davis had received 8 months rent on my behalf plus a deposit by the organization that helped my family move in. I left the unit on the date stated in my 30 days notice September 1, 2015. Jason Davis was present with maintenance helping place my items in the u- Haul pick up truck i rented. I did not have any furniture but several bags of clothing that were donated to my family by the organization. We did a walk through that day and I was handed my payment of $800 back that day. Here it is 11 months later and I was denied for another apartment
because of a judgement against me by Gardenview apartments. Jason Davis went to court in November 2015 and flat out lied to the courts said I had abandoned my unit and he did not know what had happened to me. This man has received over $4800 of rent from me and the organization on my behalf. He told the courts i left furniture in the unit and the unit was not clean. He was basically charging me for the way the unit looked when I moved in. It was not up to the standards of the organization and i later found out he sent false information to the organization to receive payment on my behalf from them. It is sad that I was already victimized by the man i loved for 12 years to have to fall victim to a slumlord and liar. The apartments are nice and quiet but when you have sneaky people scheming it is sad.
I was victimized by Jason Davis the manager of Gardenview Apartments in Memphis. He lied to me and stated he did not receive payment from the organization that was to pay my bills on my behalf in June 2015. I paid this man $800 on top of the $4000 he received from the organization. I was a victim of domestic violence and moved to the complex after staying in the domestic violence shelter. He knew my stay would possibly be temporary if I was in immediate danger of my husband finding me and he signed an agreement stating he understood the terms. In August 2015 i gave him a 30 days notice stating I would be relocating in September 2015.
He was present helping place my items in the uhaul pickup truck that I rented on September 1, 2015. He received his keys for both the unit and mailbox and we both did the walk out together. I received my deposit back in my hands on September 1 2015. 11 months later i was denied for another unit because there is a judgement against me by Jason Davis. He stated i abandoned my unit and left furniture in the unit. I did not have any furniture and was unaware of any judgments against me. This man has ruined my preparation. I never left items in any unit and I have been out on my own since 19 years old. I paid my rent and had no noise complaints and for him to victimze a victim is sad.
