My husband and I own a company and for literally months we were HARASSED by sales people from Fundzio calling us telling us they could get us a business line of credit for 300K. Each time we told them we werent interested but they still kept calling. We had run into some problems with our business and yes we had some financial debt/ problems but we were handeling them. About 2 months ago Russ calls us and wants to know if we are interested in obtaining a loan from them because he was just following up. AT first we said no but after some new ideas about how to improve our business we gave him an application and all the back up information he asked for. That same day he came back with an approval for a 120k line of credit, 40,000 immediatly and the rest available over time... no need to go into too much detail here. Payment was going to be 650.00 per day (wow). After waiting two days to give him an answer he sends me an email wants to know if I had any questions which I did. He then tells me his CEO wanted to talk to us also to help answer our questions. So Ed Siegel calls me and we talk for almost 30 minutes. I explained in detail what our prior problems were and he asked if Russ knew about them. I told him that one of the other 2 sales people probably knew since it was public record and not able to be hidden or withheld. So he goes on and on about his program and how the payments would work and I thought ok, this was going to work. Never once did he give me a hint that they had changed their minds. So all day goes by and at 6:30 I get an email, not a phone call telling me their committee had decided not to do the loan. Prior to this the company thought nothing of calling you 2-3 times a week to check in..
I also forgot to mention we had to pay them money up front to get this far. So naturally I was angry. Ed could have said something earlier and not wasted our time.Nothing that they claim hindered the deal was new, they just did not due their own due dilligence and now based on their approval 2 days earlier I had made some commitments. I totally dislike these types of company because they prey on people like us. Hard working people trying to make a living who for one reason or another has had a problem or a hick up in the road and are just trying to make a living.
I have asked for my deposit back, I guess we will see where that goes.. I'll keep you posted.
