My husband and I went to a travel presenation and were given a voucher for a trip to anywhere in the continental USA. We chose Las Vegas. After calling Funtime Travel numerous times to find out if there was anything we should be aware of when making reservation, and reading the conditions thoroughly, we sent in $138 which we were promised we'd get back after trip was taken. I filled out reservation form requesting Las Vegas, only to be told that Las Vegas has no black out periods. How were we supposed to know this? You only get 1 quote. So I'm out $138 because I won't use the quote they sent me, as I can get this price myself online. This was no savings. Very disappointed in this offer.
We attended a travel presentation in February 2015 and were given flyers representing 2 travel opportunities (air fare and cruise) as free gifts.
The requirement was to pay a small registration fee ($70) per couple and the cost of travel would be minimum at of fpeak season. We would have to cover fees and taxes.
We sent $70 in Feb 2015 for an air fare travel offer registration and another $70 for a cruise offer registration.
After regisration, we received another form to fill in for our travel requirements. We had one year to request travel. We finally got to the point of booking a vacation. I enquired thorougly on low season conditions, I made a travel request (well within the 3 months travel notice). I found that the total price quoted was higher than what I could find on the web for the flight as well as the cruise.
This is when I realized that this was just a scam - to have people pay a regisration fee on the belief that this will give them access so some travel discount, which is not the case.
