When I worked there the only way you could get a raise or yearly bonus was to receive a good evaluation . My supervisor told me that he wrote a good evaluation on me and took it to Shelley to sign off on it and she made him change it immediately. I was then called to a meeting with Shelley and my supervisor and told that my notations on my cases were inaccurate and that my work was done incorrectly per the State Department. When I asked for proof of my alleged in-ept work and inaccurate notations I was told by Shelley Penn, and I quote,"You better shut-up before I cut your final check and fire you right now!""Say one more word." I was a single parent at the time with one income and no child support. I sat quiet and bit my tongue.... hard. She went ahead and suspended me for 3 days with no pay for the above allegations which she refused to provide proof of . She told me after 3 days she would let me know if I could come back. Meanwhile I looked for other work and called on the third day and was told I could come back to work. I witnessed Shelley Penn yell, cuss, shout and talk crazy to peopld on several occasions, threatening them to cut them their final check too. She used that line a lot. Shelley was the most horrible superior that I had the sheer displeasure of working for. Her tone words and language was all so nasty. She needs help. Help that she can surely afford to get.
Audit this company without giving them a notice you are coming. You will see frauduant activities from the front door to the back door. Business trips that are actually paid vacations for senior members. If you are able to, 9 times out of 10 Shelly Penn wont be there. She is paid very well to do absolutely nothing. And she is not too bright to be in that role. Clyde McQueen rules by yelling and screaming. No respect for anyone. I left several months ago because he yells and belittles his staff. Constantly threatens and also takes trips and calls them business related. (investigate, investigate) Tirhas Kidane, nice lady but manipulator of numbers.
Several employees have quit because of the yelling, and McQueen telling them in a managers meeting that out kids don't come before this job. During my short time, I noticed manipulation of financial numbers all at Tirhas's request. Please ask the financial department about the fraud. Turnover is so high so when an audit comes, they can blame the manipulation on the staff that was let go. This company needs an investigation when the members listed above is out of the building. These people have been doing this for far too long at the extreme of the tax payers. I wonder what their paycheck looks like and if they get bonuses. I bet they do and I'm pretty sure they are high. Please investigate these con artist. Start with the financials and work your way back.
