I am writing to bring to your attention to a concerning incident involving a Ventus TR Blue, on my driver recently broke when my golf bag simply tipped over. The shaft was encased in its own padded compartment, fully protected when it broke. I have witnesses and video surveillance of this happening. The shaft is only one year old and has always been kept in pristine condition.
It is worth noting that all the other clubs in my bag, including those with similar shafts (non Fujikura), remained intact and undamaged.
Upon contacting their customer service department, I was contacted by Chad Embrey and informed in a very patronizing way that the broken shaft would not be covered under warranty. Now I'm out over $500. Their shafts cost even more now. They've had two price increases in the past year. Even my fitter at Club Champion said "Fujikura won't cover anything" and advised me to go with KBS, as they care about their customers.
I pushed back on his claim that my bag must have "tumbled" and he wrote back stating that he was going to refer me to their legal department, due to the "nature of my verbiage".
Fujikura simply doesn't stand by their products and shows callous disregard to their customers. They could simply send me a used TR Blue from a demo and I'd be happy with that. Something is very wrong with their business practices and Chad Embery deserves to be held to account. I cannot recommend their shafts in any way.
