My first order went fine and I received my birds the day after I received the birds are on the way email. My second order didn't come the day after the email. In fact I still haven't received it. My issue is why don't they include the tracking number for the birds in the email they send? When I didn't receive my order it took 2 phone calls and an email requesting the tracking number in order to receive it. At this point I don't really know if they shipped them yesterday or they shipped them after I requested the tracking number. I tracked the order but it says it has SHIPPED TOMORROW. Not sure how that works.
I bought a all red bird through Fly Babies Avery. I told company my mother was wanting a male singing bird. Bird was supposed to go to my mom's house, you know with that free shipping they advertise yet charge $25 for a box to ship bird in. Post office called me 3 days later & told me bird was ready at post office. I had to drive to post office at 6 am ring bell to be let in & get bird then drive 60 miles to my mothers house, where she happened to not be home, then had to go buy a $85 cage to store bird in until my mother came home. I worried about bird the whole time being shipped clear across the world to me. Bird seemed to be ok, he did have a huge bald spot on his head, company tried to say he was molting. The red bird ended up being red, white and black, then later on turned all orage, and now has a black tail. He never did sing. At least he's not dropping eggs.
I then ordered 2 birds for me that arrived at post office again instead of my house, making trip again to go get them, then had to buy another cage. The birds I requested one male and one female. Birds are orange not red, and male drops eggs and doesn't really sing but makes a choking noise. At first birds were just adorable swinging and eating together, sleeping next to each other. Then a couple months into it, they started tearing each other apart. I had to go buy yet another cage , that the bird got out of and we had to move heavy furniture around looking for the bird for 4 hours. I put it back in the original cage with other bird since she was able to get out of 2nd cage. Then again they started fighting, yet when separted they also went nuts. Bird looks all brusied up, her feathers look like she went through a tornado, she stands on one leg, and just looks awful. One night I thought she was going to die and I sat by the cage for 6 hours trying to nurse the bird back to good health. Plus I think both are female and not what I ordered.
When I contacted fly babies. They offered me a $100 credit off another $180 or more bird. Or told me to mail the birds back. I am a huge animal lover & there is no way I could shove 2 birds that were already in failing health in a box and mail them across the world not knowing if they were ok or ever made it. Plus I became attached to them. Company refused to do anything about it other wise, saying it wasn't fair for me to keep the birds and get a refund. I paid around $500 to this company and even told them I would accept $100 back out of the $500 but they refused. I don't think it was fair they advertised certain color birds and send wrong colors, or sex birds, or offered free shipping then make you pay for a box. I never got the credit or what I ordered. Not one of the 3 birds sing.
For the last 3 weeks the one bird has sat in her food dish all brusied up and battered looking from other mean bird. You can't enjoy looking at the bird because you can't see the bird hiding in the food dish. I have bird food from one end of my house to the other. Plus have had to buy numerous cages during this ordeal.
For Christmas I wanted to buy my mom another bird from this company and I can't even do that now.
