On Feb 5th 2022 I took out a Flip City PRINT Subscription for 6 PRINT Issues, starting with issue #10 JAN 2022. Issue 10 covered months Jan/Feb. I immediately get an email stating that my downloads are ready as if I took out a digital subscription. I then that I indeed selected PRINT (based on receipt) BUT I also caught what appeared to be a bait and switch tactic for an AUTO RENEW subscription.
When i select a 12 Mo Print subscription (6 issues) and when I select "Add to Cart" it switches to an "Auto Renewal" subscription at check out. (I duscovered the switch after my purchase). I reached out to Flip City and noted I never signed up for Auto Renewal and corrected the digital issue.
Towards the end of Mar 2022 I still had not received my issues so I reached out to Flip City again. But no response was received in April I inquired again but no response until the end of April. By this time i was missing the first two issues of the subscription.
Flip City blamed the post office and I was told by Christy McKenzie (editor) that replacements would be sent. Those "replacements" never arrived. I sent another email mid May noting that I still hadn't received any magazines from my subscription. No response received.
So towards the end of May I take action and contact the FTC and FBI to report the fraud. By this time it is pretty clear that I have been rupped-off. I emailed Flip City again June 1st and again no response. This actually prompts a response... though very insulting and sarcastic.
A week later I get my first issue of the subscription (issue #12) as well as a letter dated June 5th making light of the situation in an extremely sarcastic tone. I follow up inquiring about issues 10 & 11 and again my query is met with no response.
On July 3rd I get notification that my subscription was expired. I again contact Flip City this time asking for a refund and I actually got a reply indicating that it was for a different subscription. The reply also disregards the refund request and indicates that I already received "replacements" which is not true in the slightest extent.
I email Flip City again asking for a response to the refund request and this again is met with no response. It is now July 7th, I have been going back and forth with Flip City since Mar 22nd and to date nothing has been done to resolve the issue. I called them out up front on a auto-renew and digital subscription scam and then my magazines magically never get delivered.
I take action and report them to the FBI a d FTC and I finally receive (ONE) issue along with an insulting, sarcastic letter! Do not waste your time and money. I will pursue this as it is now about principle since FlipCity has stolen from me but save yourself the trouble and don't buy from these scammers.
