I purchased the FIXD device back in 2007 and was using it on a 1998 Ford truck and a 2007 Dodge Nitro. I no longer have the truck and the phone (android) with the app installed.
Now I have to do an upgrade or purchase a new one) for more money and also have to purchase a subcription for a full year of $69.99. This is a rip off since the device was working for the 2007 Dodge Nitro but I have to buy the subcription to get the app for my IPhone.
I would never recommend buying this device as you will hardly use it unless you repair cars/trucks on the side. That is my belief on this product.
VIRZ product uses a mapping cell phone application (hudway) that cannot map because of technology problems causing the product to be useless and contribute to dangerous driving conditions.
VIZR's purpose is to reflect the phone app map (projected in reverse) onto a screen adhered to the dashboard. Since the app is worthless and no other mapping app applies as they do not project in reverse, VIZR is a defective product.
It is unusable and can cause dangerous driving conditions. FIXD is unwilling to make a refund and makes multiple excuses why they cannot refund or accept returns. This defective concept is credited to GA Tech engineers, which is a black mark against a fine school. When purchasing the product, the buyer is "welcomed to the FIXD family". This is a most disfunctional family that no one should want to be associated. Poor product that scams the buyer out of their money.
I won't even donate he VIZR to Goodwill as that would be morally wrong treatment for unsuspecting buyers.
My car had an oil leak and overheating problem yet when run the device to help me diagnose whats wrong and causes it said my car in good condition and no problems found. it end up with a broken boss connector that caused the oil leaks and the overheating i need to change the sparks plugs
