I used to work out at the fitness connection in Mesquite, Texas. when I signed up to start working out at the Fitness connection in Mesquite Texas, I also signed up to be trained by a fitness trainer for $140, and was to be trained by Lexie one of the fitness trainers. Lexie was not able to train me and I was told that she has been fired; I went back to the fitness connection location and spoke to a couple of people including the managers Eric Ganow and KC.to reassign me with another fitness trainer.

Eric took my info and said he will call me & assign a new fitness trainer for me; Weeks and months passed, and i went there severally to make sure I get a new fitness trainer or give me back my money, but they always took my info and told me that the manager will call me, which never happened.

I have been to FC so many time to resolve this with Eric the manager keeps promising to call me and arrange for someone to help train me to no avail; Finally this month on February 2022, I went back to FC and cancel my membership and demanded for my refund of $140; Eric knew I was very angry and he promised to give me back my money and gave me his Email address and phone number, that he will refund my money since I did not get the fitness training that i had signed up for with Lexie.

I have emailed him, called the fitness connection in Mesquite so many times to no avail. I did tell Eric that I will sue FC if my money is not refunded and he said that suing the company will not work; that many people have tried it and it does not work, can you imagine the arrogance?..I am therefore asking this platform to help me.

I cancelled my membership in February and paid a cancellation fee of 1 month. Now they have again charged my credit card and said they will charge another month for additional cancellation fees. I have stopped payment on the last 2 charges but did not on the original charge.

This is a scam by the company. Everyone should avoid joining Fitness Connection. I have filed with the Better Business Bureau and will take this as far as I can to expose Fitness Connection and their unethical business practices.

Fitness Connection is a very sleazy company with unethical procedures. I encourage others who have been scammed by Fitness Connection to do as I am doing and exposing Fitness Connection for what they are trying to do; rip-off members.

You call the number they list and it goes straight to a message saying please call back during normal business hours (even though it is when calling).

You try to email their listed contact email address and you get an auto-error response saying email can't be delivered to that address.

If they make it impossible to contact them about membership, how can anyone make changes?

Ridiculous. And of course they continue billing.

We signed up for a one year service for UBF training through Fitness Connection Hulen St in Fort Worth, TX. We scheduled 3 appointments per week for one year. The first week a trainer did not show up for the scheduled appointment. When we reached out to the UBF fitness director, they said the trainer was a no show. We scheduled with another trainer. The trainer showed up once, then was a no show.

We reached out to the UBF head trainer again. This happened seven times and there were 5 differnt trainers who we were scheduled with. After seven weeks we gave up. I left a call for the UBF trainer and the general manager. The general manager called me back, but siad I had to talk to the UBF trainer. He waited one full week then called back saying, "Good news we have you a trainer."

We had 4 trainers in 8 weeks, and 7 appointment cancelled. When I reached out to the corporate office they said I need to continue to pay a monthly fee, though no one would show up to the trainining sessions. The UBF trainer approaches my minor son each time he goes to the club for payment, though I am the responsible party. Though they never offered or did the servcies, there was no reimbursement and no apology, just an effort to try to get the check. The UBF trainer also did not call back until we had cancelled that credit card.

We have all the text and emails doccument and I was really sad when I reached out to corporate, I thought they would support us and even refund. They said no you need to keep paying for a service you do not get. That was dissapointing. I am writing this to warn others about UBF and there practices.

I was a FITNESS CONNECTION member for about three years when I decided to cancel my membership. As such I went through their established method for cancelling the membership, and even recieved from them a confirmation email that the membership had indeed been cancelled. That was last year, and yet, as it turns out, they have been charging my account for a membership ever since.

I approached them about the situation and their third party 'customer service' representative said, even after reviewing very acknowledgement they sent me, that I was out of luck. I then approached the Greenville FITNESS CENTER manager and he basically mocked me, telling me to go get a lawyer and 'good luck with that'.

TODAY 08/02/2017 IS IN REFERENCE TO A MEMBERSHIP WITH FITNESS CONNECTION THAT WAS SUPPOSED TO BE CANCELLED IN JUNE 2017! I PERSONALLY ATTEMPTED TO GET A BILLING ISSUE RESOLVED AND MEMBERSHIP CANCELLED ON THE SAME DAY. THE BILLING ISSUE WAS FINALLY HANDLED AFTER A LOT OF GRIEF HOWEVER NO MENTION OF HAVING TO GO ONLINE AND CANCEL THE MEMBERSHIP OR GO INTO FITNESS CONECTION WAS EVER MENTIONED TO ME. THEREFORE I HAVE BEEN BILLED YET AGAIN WITHOUT MY DAUGHTER GOING BACK TO THE GYM SINCE JUNE AND APPARENTLY WILL BE BILLED AGAIN BEFORE THIS IS ALL OVER. I ATTEMPTED TO GET THIS HANDLED WITH FITNESS CONNECTIONS CORPORATE OFFICE WITH AN I'M SORRY THATS THE WAY IT IS ATTITUDE!

I WANT TO EXPRESS MY CONCERNS FOR ANYONE WHO MAY WISH TO BECOME A MEMBER OF FITNESS CONECTION FOR THE POOR AND DECEPTIVE BUSINESS PRACTICES AND LACK OF ACCOUNT SECURITY. IF YOU WANT TO HAVE YOUR ACCOUNT INFO SHARED WITH OTHER MEMBER/NON-MEMBERS OF FITNESS CONNECTION PLEASE FILL FREE TO JOIN AND GIVE THEM ALL YOUR ACCOUNT INFORAMATION. MY DAUGHTERS ACCOUNT WAS MIXED UP WITH ANOTHER MEMBERS ACCOUNT AND THE INFOMATION OF THAT PERSONS ADDRESS WAS SHARED WITH ME. I'M SURE THE SAME THING WAS DONE WITH HER INFO AS WELL! THIS IS A SECURITY AND PRIVACY VIOLATION OF THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT. ADVISE TO ALL WHO MAY READ THIS POST, STAY AWAY FROM THIS GYM!

Please do yourself a favor a read and consider any and ALL reviews regarding this company. Someone elses BAD EXPERIENCE could save you money and time. Before I joined in January, I was looking for a gym close to where I live and one that offered a great rate. This one seem to have what I was looking for but, OMG. These folks are skilled at conniving there members with unreasonable behind the scene fees that they take right out of your bank account and cause you additional headache fees with your bank. And once you realize the unauthorized fees the gym has taken, caused your bank account to spiral out of control, you have a big mess to clean up regarding you're finances and investment. Oh yeah, and be prepared to pay an "Annual Member Fee" right after you join!!! They don't tell you that because it makes no sense to a new member not even there a year yet. I joined on the 25th of the month, of which I was under the impression they would prorate my monthly membership fee since starting 5 days before months end, but they didn't prorate.

Anyway, I joined. Not told any differently, I was under the impression I would be debited on the 25th for my next payment. You know. Since that was the day I began my membership, and since they did not prorate, this made sense to me, However, I was wrong. They expected another full payment on the 15th of the month with no credit for the 10 days I've already paid for. The account I gave them permission to debit upon signing up, money was available after the 18th of ever month, so if I was technically charged when I started on the 25th, my account would not have been compromised by these SCAM ARTISTS. Okay, that's one part, the other part is, they charged my account on the 15th of the month, remember my money isn't available until after the 18th, but before the 21st. They were charging my account $20 late fee on top of my monthly membership fee. Caused me out of control fees with my bank. Also, these jerks charged me an annual membership fee after being a member for 3 months.

I have never been pre charged an annual membership fee before being a member for a year. BOGUS. They have NO CUSTOMER SERVICE in place, just representatives who were trained to finagle you to sign up, but not trained to assist you in handling unauthorized charges to your account. Also, you can't just easily end your account. No no honey, you go into the gym to sign up, but you can't go in to sign out. THIS IS BY FAR THE SADDEST company I've seen. They will be going out of business soon, trust me. And do yourself a favor, read the other reviews posted. Skip over the ones they coerced folks to write when they give them a free shake, or class.

I cancelled my Gym membership and was hit with the followings

-Initially was charged 35 membership fee first month after sign up

-Following Month charged another 35 annual fee along with another 19 monthly fee then finally another 35 cancellation fee all within 2 month?

I have been charged more than $100 (128.00) dollars for being member of this establishment Fitness Connection Imperial Sharaton Hotel associated work-out club

The reason I cancelled my membership was due to poor cleaning and sanatizing of the facility by the staff, broken equipment, unfriendly staff, noisey facility, poor coutesy of guest.

Folks using lounge area with leather chairs passing germs no sanatizing between session by staff, no proof of staff cleaning the facility while guest are using the facility.

No proof equipment is being cleaned sanatized by the staff between sessions.

I became a member of fitness connection (for both a regular gym membership and a personal trainer) in November 2016. In February 2017, I decided to opt out of the membership because I had started treatment for a medical condition and due to the side effects of the medication that was being used, it was becoming difficult to go to the gym and attend my personal trainer sessions. So my doctor gave me a doctor's note to suspend all forms of exercise. One of the conditions to terminate one's cancellation is if you have a medical note stating the reason for the cancellation, which I had.

I filled out the cancellation form online in early March, attached the note to cancel both the gym membership and the personal trainer sessions. However, it has been a constant struggle to cancel and they continue to charge me for both services. First they said they did not receive any form and after I told them I have confirmation that they received the form, they said they received the form, but not the medical note. I resubmitted the medical note to them on March 27th, they called and left me a message on March 28th saying they cannot approve the cancellation, and that they can only freeze it for a certain period of time, meaning they will continue to charge my account, but at a lesser rate. The only problem is I will be undergoing treatment for my condition for more than 2 years, I explained all of this to them, but they said my only option is to freeze the account even though I have a doctor's note.

I am filing a complaint to have both my Fitness Connection gym membership and personal trainer sessions cancelled due to providing the right documentation (medical note) as part of their cancellation policy, which I have fulfilled. They are making this issue much more difficult and stressful, which is the last thing I want right now due to the already stressful treatment plan that I am currently undergoing.

I went to this fitness center in anticipation to utilize the pool. I was told I would be paying a one time fee of 35.00, instead I was charged four seperate 35.00 fees, gym membership fees, and gym upkeep fees. This business literally continues to rape my bank account.

I and my two nieces went to the pool one time! We never returned because the pool was filty, smelled of trash in the lounge chair area that was consumed with nats! There was a dirty diaper floating in the swim area! The life guard was obese and in poor health.

It stunk! I never returned!

Upon complaining to the manager, Rick, over the phone the following day when I realized I had been charged 4 individual 35.00 fees and a fee for the gym which I had no idea I was signing up for and have to this day never used!

I was told I would be receiving a refund for the gym membership and that my membership for the gym was being reversed at the very time we were speaking on the phone! I was told this was being done. And this was a lie! The fee was never reversed and I am continually being charged! Now this Rick avoids me like the plague!

When I signed up for the gym I told them I was moving in 2 1/2 months. I already knew my moving date. I kept communication with management and my trainer about when my last day would be. I gave them a bill with my new address at the end of April which they requested and scheduled my personal training sessions within the specified time. Management told me everything is fine and I'm done with my payments. Then I got an email saying I have to pay another payment for personal training and gym membership, when I won't even be using the gym anymore. So I called management and Abby & Josh said I don't have to worry it is canceled and they will make sure everything is taken care of. My trainer then told me that my payment for the next month is still processing. Then I was told to cancel my credit card so the payment won't go through, which was a hassle for me. Next, I got a phone call from their third party payment agency saying that I am being charged another payment because the managers didn't put in my request 30 days prior to leaving, even though they were clearly aware and had proof of my address change. I spoke to Rick who is the manager and he told me everything would be taken care of and my payment processing would fall off when the month of June ended and I would no longer be responsible for that payment . Now it's July 1st and I called the financial services and was told that the payment is still pending and that it will be sent to collections if I do not pay this amount ($159.99). Everyone kept telling me that everything was canceled and not to worry but no one has done anything to resolve this issue. It's not fair to me to have to pay money that I work hard for and hand it to someone for services that I did not receive. I turned in my change of address the end of April, I finished up my scheduled personal training sessions in May, and have not used the gym after May. I should not owe a payment for June. I followed the cancellation policy. Everyone keeps giving me the run around. The last phone call I had with the manager at Fitness Connection I recorded our phone call so that I could have proof that he stated I would not be responsible for that extra payment. He is very rude on that phone call as well. I wish someone would even take the time to listen to the recorded conversation. I would like for them to officially cancel this pending transaction so that I can stop worrying about it ruining my credit. I would be afraid to even give them credit card info or bank account information again after reading all of their reviews on Facebook and complaints on better business bureau.

Starting back in January I sent my cancellation letter, they never received it. March I sent a second letter, they never received it either.

I have spoken with several levels of people, but no CEO, because they don't have one, nor do they have board members or a committee.

The people I have spoken with refuse take my cancellation, they said that a certified letter was required! What? No I have not sent one, instead I closed my credit card so they can't continue to debit me. That didn't stop them from harassment.

I have found that I am not the only one with this problem, there are hundreds! If you look on the BBB their rating is an F and hundreds of reports are filed against them.

I only wish to obtain my cancelation from this crooked place of business and it would be great if they lost their license for the many fraudulent accounts they have continued to charge or turned over to collection and damaged peoples credit. I had to close out my credit card and filed fraud against them to get back charges that were erroneously obtained.

Please stop this from happening others!
