First of all I went in because it was advertised as 19.99 a mont which did not include 70.00 start up fee then in order to use the one machine I liked cost 7 Dollars more called. I went on vacation and went in 3 times to cancel my membership, went in twice and verbally ask and they want you to sit meet with them and go through a lengthy cancelation process which I did not have time to and asked if they could just do it for me ..
I also found out some of their members have Hep C and also their machine are filthy and I am saying this in a nice way. I politely tried to work with them and they charged me extra so I had to take legal action ! I would not recomend this Gym to anyone I have live here for 50 yrs and this club is from Fresno here to Rip Off the Locals!!!
In June i walk in to get a promotion gym deal for $9.99 a month on a month to month basis. three weeks later im being called that my billing info is not correct. i get on the phone call them and seems like the guy who opened my account type a number wrong. ok that was easy fix well another 2 weeks later i get another text saying that i needed to pay my balance that they had problem with y billing information once again.
i call them to clarify everything because at this point im being charge $45. At this point i have not been in the gym not one day because of this problems. i explain to the manager and he told me they would wave all late fees and just to pay $19.99 for the two months. 2 weeks later theres a $49.99 charge on my bank account. they telling me they cannot explain to be why that charge was made and have me call a number they provided me (888) 827-9262 i call them and they tell me they cant do anything about it to call the gym and ask to speak to the manager i call the gym back then the manager telling me he needs to talk to hes district manager and will call me back.
instead of receiving a call back i receive an email just minutes as i hang up the phone saying thank you for signing up for a workout class for that same today Monday. September 19, 2019. this gym are scamming people of their hard earn money they need to be stop!!!!!!
I joined fitness 19 over a year ago. I believe it was back in march 2015. I cancelled them right away after i signed up for a personal fitness trainer because i had hurt myself. So i called then came in and cancelled. Just a couple of days ago they charged me over 300 said I owed it to them. I never got a collection notice or an email or a phone call saying I owed anything. I spoke to Al Gonzalez on the phone and he wanted to know what the form looked like and what date i cancelled. I have no idea I just remember doing it becauce i hurt myself. He accused me of lying and was very rude and refused to give me his name on the phone. So i went down there and got it. I told him I would put this on the Internet and he told me to get a lawyer because it would be slander. I told him its only slander when your lying. Great customer service huh? I read i am not the only person he has done this to. Why is he allowed to do this? Why doesnt someone stop him. I am a single mother I cant afford this.
Sold me on the free daycare then a month later said there was not going to be a free daycare and they would not refund my sign up fees or the last month. They laughed at me when I said they would get a bad review and the manager also asked what my income was. Very out of line and I cannot go to the gym without the free daycare I have 4 kids. I never would have signed up!
I became a member prior to the gym location opening and the the gym itself, as far as I am concerned the gym itself was just fine.
However in May of 2015 went into the location to cancel my membership, as required by their contract. Upon cancellation the employee took my DL and entered information into their system and informed me that I would receive the paperwork for the cancellation in the mail and would not be charged any longer. I found out today, in December, that not only have they continued to charge me every month, but also are charging me a annual maintenance fee. I contact the gym and was basically told they have no record of my cancellation so its my problem not theirs. In fact, the assistant manager Eliza, would not give me any information to contact anyone higher than her and actually told me at this point, "the buck stops with her since I had no proff". She said she did not work for the company during the time of my cancellation so she could not help me with what employees did before.
This company is very poor with customer service, does not keep good records and is very rude. I will be contacting the franchise offices and letting them know what kind of people are representing their company name.
The gym harasses, themselves, & allows to be harassed, by other members, their handicapped members. Their employees have been instructed to allow the gym to get dirty & not maintain towel, soap, and tp dispensers choosing instead to weaponize their employees against their handicapped members, this includes the manager himself, "Jerry", an extremely rude nasty rodent. Wet floors in the bathroomsare of continuing concern, along with being a safety hazard; they're of no concern either. Garbage builds up in the gym, on the equipment; it's of no concern. Their soul priority is forcing out their handicapped members. Both employees & other members are allowed, if not instructed, to throw people's stuff on the floor if they go to get a drink of water or use the lavatory while working out.
All levels of unpleasantry are used. In addition to harassment, the employs are extremely rude. A few are good, civil, & conscientious. I imagine they may not last long.
The gym is cheap; but it should be considering how nasty the mgmt & staff are & the level of sanitation in the gym. Join this gym if you possibly want a disease and/or to deal w/ nasty rude employees.
