Our first Fisher paykel washing machine was purchased by us 15 years ago. Four months ago it stopped working and we needed a replacement. We went to the same place we purchased the first one. We or should I say my wife revieved the operators guide and manual to make sure it would fuction just like the last one so she could customize the tempeture settings. The manual claimed it did. So we ordered it. Once it was delivered my wife told me it did not allow her to use hot water no matter how many times she programmed it. Customer service was insulting suggesting we had hooked it up wrong. The retailer hooked it up and it was correct. Weeks went by and finaly they replacesd it with another new one. This one did the same thing. We now had to wait for the Fisher paykel regional rep. He called and told us that he woud be there in two weeks and have it working properly in five minutes. I recalled how arrogant and condicending he was. When he arrived I started the timer. After 45 mins I went to check on him, he said he was unable to correct the problem and he recomended that they replace it with yet a third new machine. Two weeks go by and I call them to see what is the hold up now.
The new regional rep tells me that the machine is working perfectly and the previous rep was wrong. I suggested that he read the manual and explain that if the machine does not allow you to use hot water why does all the literature, manual, and all previous customer service, and sales people claim that it does? We now usderstand that the programers working for Fisher Paykel programed it to not allow you to customize the wash temperature to hot or even warm. Yet the advertising department continues to fool buyers into believing it does allow the use of hot water. I call this fraud. I will never do business with this company from down located in Texas. Shame on them.
