Fischer Brothers Moving & Storage Reviews
Our experience follows: Prior to the move we received a written agreement: (all caps by Fischer Brothers): "BINDING RATES...NO HIDDEN FEES..Not to Exceed quote of $4,052.81" After having packed all our belongings on a Friday night, we are told 100 percent cash or cashiers check at delivery which is prior to their unloading, moving into two story rooms assembly (all included). Obviously banks are closed. We offered to have delivery on Monday or money in the afternoon on Saturday and start delivery at time on on Saturday. We called to a Fischer (Kevin we believe) and got yelled at with endless rang of MFer, FU and sell your belongings Monday morning at auction. 90 minutes later we receive an invoice for $6,978.80--almost $3,000 additional. We then tell another Fischer (Jim we believe) in emails that we are ready willing and able to take delivery Saturday, Sunday or Monday and have monies but only at awritten agreed upon amount of $4,052. A fischer responded that he deals with cops all over the state and will file police report if threaten them (with legal action). Classic case of scam using belongings as hostage to get around an agreement. We ourselves reduced the scope of the move through donations and moving ourselves a bed, large dining table and chairs, fireplaces, and almost all the wall decorations. We added nothing to the move. Jim Fischer write to us " I could honestly care less..the outcome for you."
