I purchased a vacation package from the Frist Select/ Travel Center/ Fun Times Vacations Company. My package was supposed to be:8 day 7 night Caribbean Cruise Vacation with Complimentary Airfare for (4) Adults, as a reminder you are responsible for all charges for the children that are accompanying you (1) child . Also a 3 day 2 night Las Vegas NV Vacation with Complimentary Airfare for (2) Adults
My Vacation Package, was purchased on Thursday November 13, 2014 at 6:14pm and an attempted cancelation was made on Monday the Same day this Confirmation Email (attached)was First sent with the Package details in writing. This Company is completely misleading and gives convoluted and contradictory information its customers. I am still requested a refund due to the fact that I was given misleading information the lead to the purchase of this Vacation Package.
My whole reason for the purchase was so that I could travel in February for my Birthday and Anniversary. I was told by both my Sale representative Josh and the verification specialist that traveling in February would not be a problem because there were not major holidays during that time and as long as I did my booking 60days out I would be fine. Now after attempting to book the trip with the booking agent send to me by your company (The Travel Center) I was once again told information not in alignment with my verbal phone agreement with First Select Travel. At this Point I just want a refund and nothing more to do with your Company.
This information was not sent to me until Monday which was not what has been told to me in my recorded verified conversation, nor what is in your travel Policy Document. The Wording is totally different, Calling my PURCHASEED VACTIOV PACKAGE a “ Bonus VACTION“ and that I am a part of a vacation Travel Program for 1 Year. It goes on to say that the vacation is not “being sold to me “ All of the questionable information is highlighted below! I have requested a REFUND Within 72 HOURS
I was told I need to give 60days notice and the paperwork says 90days. Below is the Cancellation information I was given Different than what you sent me today.
Cancellations and Cancellation Fees: If notice of cancellation of your travel program is received by First Select Travel
before 72 hours has passed from the initial verification, a $70.00 fee will be imposed and the balance of your payment
refunded. After 72 hours, all travel programs are final and not subject to refund. In the event you are unable to pay in full
at the initial time of agreement and wish to make payments until you are sure to travel, all payments made are nonrefundable.
Correspondence can be sent by way of U.S. Mail to First Select Travel, 100 Sun Avenue NE, Albuquerque,
NM 87109.
Mailed out this request one day later as well as sent an email per my conversation with Edward in Customer Service.I just want my Money back. I don’t want any more made-up cut and pasted information, because it is not consistent with your emailed documents. I would also like the transcript of my “ Recorded Conversation. To compare it to my Recorded cellphone Conversation with Josh in sales and Melissa in verification.
