First Investors Financial Services Inc Reviews

It seems in reading others reports, I am receiving exactly what I wish I had known BEFORE getting a loan. EXTREMELY rude employees, talking to me like the know me. Very much in my business (aside from my financing). Lecturing, talking down, degrading me.

I got off track after being laid off, I told them, I thought we had a plan in place... seems nothing was "noted" in my account. I finally got back on my feet and made payments.. 4 months in a row and they continue to report to the credit missed payments.

I have filed two disputes, and they somehow continue to get away with "no changes" to my credit. I sent in pictures of my bank statements. If you use this company be prepared to be harrassed like no ones business, I am talking I am less then one month payment behind (made bigger payments to get caught up) and they literally call me 15+ times a day, plus my husbands phone, and from different numbers.

You are better off renting a car or public transportation then taking a loan from them even if they are the only company that will. PROMISE.

It all started when I first purchased my car. It was a brand new KIA and glad we got fianced since my wife and I do not have the best of credit. After signing all the contracts, our salesperson said we had two months before our first car payment was due. Turns out it was only one month or 28 days later from the day we took home the car. So right off the bat, we were already one month behind, which we didn't found out until I went to make the first payment. So I went ahead and tried to make the first payment and there was probablem with either their system or the banks since the payment was rejected by it had come out of my account. They claim the didn't recieve the payment but my bank said it went out but somehow got lost. Still fighting with the bank to get that payment back. So now...we are 2 months behind since I can't pay another car payment that month. So I talked with the finicail manager and was trying to find out what was going on. He said he was more then willing to work with me. We evens et-up a payment arrangment and was able to seperate my payment on the month I owed and then paid my normal month's payment. Then the next month, the same thing happended with the payment not going through. My bank said it was sent out and 1st invenstors said they didn't recieve it. So now that's TWO payments somehwere in cyberspace. So after this payment was rejected, I never once recieved mail or a phone call stated it didn't go through, so now this puts me over two months behind again because I thought it was paid since the money was goen from my account. So last night the repo man came a knockin' on my door, showed me the paperwork stating I owe them $1450...WHAT? The repo guy was really nice, apologized about taking the car and said to call my bank to get this straightened out. So I call them this morning to find out what's going on. They told my options were to...Pay $2500 not including the repo lot feed which was $40 a day and that I had 15 days to pay it due to the wonderful laws in Florida or just let the bank keep it. So now...I have no car to get to work, pick the kids up from school or even go grocery shopping. So after working with their Finical manager assuring me that things will be OK, here I stand with no car, porbably will get laid off due to not showing up to work from lack of transpotation. Guess that's the American way!

Thanks for nothing First Investors!

We were financed by First Investors due to our credit. It was the biggest mistake of our lives! They are hounds! They harrass you profusely and call you 10 times a day. Thay start calling early in the mornings Sunday thru Monday. Living in La we were impacted by flood water and the car that was financed thru them were flooded and then paid off, at least we only owed 2,000. We called and asked about our GAP insurance that we had on the car before it was refinanced thru them we learned that the GAP insurance didn't carry over on the refinance-----we were surprised! So what happened? I'm thinking they took the money and canceled the GAP. So now First Investors are hounding us in the midst of us have to deal with our house flooded and trying to repair it! I called and asked them to take the money paid and closed the account, they refused. Needing a car we financed a car thru GMAC and somehow First Investors has contacted them and has interferred with the financial contract. Now GMAC is telling us that we need to contact First Investors and pay them off or pay on the remaining balance before they will close the deal?? I have never heard of such a thing! They even hinted to financing the amount owed to First Investors onto the car we would be financed thru GMAC?? First Investors is trying to affect our transactions to keep us from purchasing a car until we pay them off. It appears The dealership-Duplessis and First Investors have been communicating. That seem to be a little shady to me. So buyers do not purchase or enter into a contract with First Investors they are crooks!

Signed loan with First Investors in March 2012. Have been paying for 44 months. My original loan amount was $16,900. My current payoff is 13,087. That is an average of $86.00 a month. That is a total of $3846 towards principal. They have pocketed over $13000.00. I have recently reviewed reports to the BBB, of which they are not even a member. I will be gaining legal assistance to address this ripoff. Please do not sign a loan with First Investors.
