Ipurchased a used trimmer from this pawn shop and was told it had bee pre-tested and was assured it worked. Took it home and tried to start it. Wen to the internet sincwe no instructions were sold with it and tried using the exact instructions that I found for the exact item on the internet. Still could not get it to work. I had used my bank debit card as they require it to be used as such when making a purchase. I took it back in to them and they did not seem surprised that it did not work and I requested a refund of the money I had paid. Was told it had to go back electronically to my bank and that it would take about 4 business days. Seemed odd as it never takes that long for anything I've returned to go back to my account.
This occured on 4/20/19 and as of 4/27/19, the funds still have nto bee returned to my account. I called to let them know this and they ignored me and told me they woukd call me back. I waited and not call was returned. So I went up there to the store location ans and after being told a manager would have to help, a woman came with a book and tried to show me where there was nagative by the amount I had paid as they had backesd it out of their system and that it was my bank's fault. I know my bank and have been with them for several years and told her this was not true. But anyway, I got in my car and went to my bank and had them check their system to see if any return was hanging out there and had not been credited back to my account and after the teller checked all fo their systems he stated that no return of my money had ever been attempted and provided me with a printout showing the transaction history with the debit and not return.
I had to drive back to the pawn shop and even with presenting them withe what the bank had told me and provided me proof of, they still refused to refund my money and I was told it would take another week if anything before I might receive my money back. This is fraud and I want other potential customers to know this so if they shop there DO NOT USE YOUR BANK DEBIT CARD.
