First Advantage Background check I got hired at Arise. now i have worked for sallie mae, where you have to go though a FBI background check, this year i had three and i am fine.... FINE... they cost me three jobs saying my SSN something was wrong.with it, emailed me these forms i filled them out and sent them in BEFORE the due date. and STILL they didnt do their job and again lost the job.... I think this is a scam.... i wonder how many people they do this too.... I want my money back. They just sent me a survey... yea ok and Advise may be in on it.. this is a disgrace.... SS takes my money fine.
I receive a random phone call on Tuesday telling me about a recent job I had applied for and was telling me that I didn't pass a drug test. They was asking for my SSN and asking if I would like to retake the test over.
A background check was to be competed by first advantage to determine my eligibility for employment. I was ready to start as long as my background came back with no felonies. My background got pushed back 3 times by first advantage, delaying my start. When it came back, it showed me as being convicted of a felony in 2005 and 2011. I called right away and disputed this. As this was my father and mother i. When I spoke with the individual at first advantage, I asked if he verified the information, as this was supposedly the reason for delaying my background check, and he stated yes that they verified it with the courts. He claims they use 3 criteria, NAME, DOB, ADDRESS. That it came back with name and address. I explained that my father and I share the same name, and have lived together at times. That although we aren't junior and senior because of different middle names, the convicting county differentiates us as junior and senior for their records. I went to the court house and obtained a certificate of conviction aND it clearly showed my father's name (sr) and his DOB. The court also informed me that if the company had verified the information from them there is no way they would have said these convictions were mine. Now I'm told by first advantage that it could take up to 30 days but usually 18-21 days. This is holding me up from employment and could jeopardize my being employed by this company as they can't hold a position open for long. This company
