Based on the policy of this entity once terminated wages earned are distributed within 24 hours. These wages earned have not been distributed. On May 27, 2018 Jessica of the Ohio Field Works Campaigns for Stand Up Ohio terminated me due to advocate agaist poor labor practices. The entity has an employee director Melissa that discriminate dagainst an inter racial couple outlining each could not sit together for "causing a distraction". When asked specifically what was meant she indicated that the two were "giggling" and her "superiors" told her complaints were received. Once asked if the data entry work was being done relative to productivity so said, "well actually NO!" Both employees knew that statement to be untrue and therefore asked for the productivity report as each was exceeding alternate employees in signature data entry quotas.

In fact, once Melissa knew her corporate offices would be contacted, she later apologized and notified the couple that there work was above standard. Melissa announces to each employee in a public forum that the two were not to sit together while telling all other employees, "sit where you like there is no assigned seating". Further, Melissa and the alternate director Sarah are both loud and obnoxious, singing, laughing loudly, talking on telephone s in the work area, conversating, cussing and being disruptive, therefore certainly if a distraction was a complaint it would be the actual directors causing the disturbance. Additionally, on May 27, 2018 due to the fact that the job ad posted on Craigslist called for data entry exclusively for 14.00 hr.,

many employees did not volunteer to bring boxes of unknown weight capacity up two flights of stairs in the heat when asked. Given there were some employees that did not volunteer, Sarah, a director at the OH location make an announcement that anything asked of the data entry operators needed to be done as it was part of the job description in which would be reflective in a new policy approved by the National office Director. This job assignment has a start and end dates and was advertised as data entry only for 14.00 per hour direct hire, while temporary staff hourly pay was. 11/hr. The title of the job was canvasser with the duties type written as "canvassers are responsible for reviewing, validating, and processing the collected signatures." There is no added lines addressing other office duties and/or ability to lift up to any specified weight amount to obtain the job or keep it.

This entity does not have enough staff evidently so attempts coercion with the threat or fear of a punitive result if data entry operators do not do extra tasks outside the agreed upon agreement. Volunteering is one thing, however, implementation of a new policy mandating current employees under a contract employment with a start and end dates is unacceptable and rather bold. These actions are inappropriate and despicable, especially when Sarah and the other directors did not lift one finger to move a box. Sarah smokes cigarettes all day outside despite working, and perhaps that is why she could not make it up the steps. If additional employees are needed for specific tasks put out an ad on Craigslist like the data entry ad and hire them. Keep in mind there were no team lead designation where extra duties are expected and paid at 16.50hr, therefore promote and pay for the labor and services. I was fired I need paid.
