LH rear door was the only one i could get open. so my young so so mechanic went over the seat and unlocked it. i got in and it started right up. ran perfect. no insurance or plates. so i had a tow truck load it on a roll back. told the owner my problems. i called back to see what he needed. had fixed the door problem Great. the LH front axle was bad. so i had a spare truck. go my felon to take it out. took it over there, Donney Washabish, owner got mad, "we do not use used parts here" so i say, 'this is not a Chevy, they made very few for three years onlt, 1979-80-and 81. so he took it, not saying a word. i got bust and found a rebuilt in Calif. had it flown inthe next day so he could the the car out. summary. he let the car sit almost two months. flat lied about it being ready. two months and $3,200 later he calls. he drov the car and is now ready.
i foregot he told me his two helpers were Drug takers. i sent a roll back, the car would not start nor at the truck shop. to get running boards and other things put on. so i called to tell him. 'i drove the car'. ok i decided to find out what it needed. two months and $6,000 later. here is the list. wiring was a nightmare, automatic would not shift because a control module was bab, Donnie told me it would not shift out of low range, ok. a new water pump and all hoses. no coolant. so armed with info i called and said what i found. answer, total denial, quote, 'i put the water pump, hoses on and put coolant in. 'i never saw any thing that looked like dirt on any part of him. so a total con. the first line disappeared, thecar had been sitting for 10 years in the Calif. sun, southern part, read hot. i know th seller, he said it ran and everthing but the AC worked. ok tow truck drove it off the big car carrier, locked it and left.
