I am one of the hundreds, perhaps thousands of people ripped off by Cheapoair.com. This week on the Internet I have read other people's stories about hidden fees, lies, tricks and fraud at Cheapoair.com.
Cheapoair.com has taken US$4226 of my money, never issued a ticket and will not refund my money. I have wasted hours on the phone and have emails showing endless and stupid arguments with James Fonovich and Anne Farewell.
I have travelled around the world and never have I seen such poor service and disregard for the customer. So I have taken them to court and I encourage everyone else to do the same. But I will do more than that. Here is what you need to know to sue Cheapo and the other front companies operated by Fareportal:

I book my flight and the website says $64.20 is my total including taxes so i book 3 passengers then i put 2 baggage for $52 plus dollars and my total was $311.00. then all of a sudden after i confirm it the total goes up to 398$. so i call there customer service asking why and what happen why the total is $398? she cant even explain it why so i told her i want to cancel it since i book it an a hour ago.she said there is a $50 per person cancellation fee, i told her i only book it an a hr. ago i should have 24 hrs. she said thats different. i dont want to argue nor loose $150 so i just go with my booking.but never again for this ripped off company.
1.) they have a lot of hidden fees so better check it. the 24 hrs policy is different.so if you cancel your booking they have a $50 cancellation fee.
2.) taxes after taxes.
3.)your paying more money booking your flights than going through the airline itself. the baggage is only $32 on the airlines website and theres is $52.
4.) the cheaper flight you think they have is not really a cheap prices.so if i were you stay away from this company. go directly to the airlines.
We used CheapoAir to book our vacation in Orlando. We reserved a rental car and booked our flights.
When we arrived in Orlando, we tried calling ACO rental car to come get us for our week long vacation.
The phones rang and rang, we could not get thru to anyone at ACO rental car. We then tried calling CheapAir for help. We were kept on hold for over an hour. We were both calling and I tried live chat as well. We were not able to get any assistance from Cheapo Air for this matter. And then the other car dealers started turning off the lights and going home. We had to grab the only car that was available which added over $120 to our costs.
In this situation we are really angry with CheapoAir because they did not help us, and with ACO car rental for not being there.
Then today when I got to CheapoAir supervisor after over an hour on hold, he blamed me and said I should have notified the ACO people that I was late. WELL, the last time I flew, which was a few days ago, you can't make phone calls from an airplane.
We will not try to rent a car from ACO and I will not be in a hurry to use Cheapo Air ever again.
