Fandango, LLC. Reviews
My wife bought 4 tickets for a movie called "83" which an autobiography of a cricket legend and the kids were very excited. However, soon she realized that she purchased the tickets right in front of screen; thus she cancelled the transaction and re-purchased 4 tickets for seats in row h.
Quite straight forward right? Not if you are dealing with fandango!!! look at case# 20220106-j7lb84
For the 1st purchase she got the qr code which was for the old seats, for the second transaction we got qr also but realized After the counter clerk scanned our tickets at the theater) that this new qr code was also for the old seats but alas almighty forgot to equip my eye with a qr reader. So we reached the theater and were pulled out of line as the qr code we had when scanned still showed up old seats in cinemark's system and all the seats in h row were occupied and they couldn’t tell if out of all seats in row h weather 4 were ours or not. So we called fandango and we were told that the estimated wait time was more than 35 minutes- so we had just 2 choices:
1) remain on hold and miss the movie to get the refund
2) buy another 4 tickets and call fandango to get the refund
So we went with option 2 as were with a group of 4 families and being a kid’s movie my 6 and 9 year old were too excited.
Its been more that 20 days and all we have been receiving is the scripted answer about their esteemed polices which clearly state that fandango will not issue refund after the movie's showtime but miserably fail to answer the procedural gap of "what happens if your system doesn’t send out updated qr code but still the old one" and how is a customer supposed to just look at the qr and distinguish that the codes are different??? Fandango please name one living human not just in us but in the whole d**n world and is capable of reading the qr codes with their naked eyes I at least wear glasses).
This is no longer a subject of just $35 but what is right or wrong... Filed a bbb complaint just now and now getting ready to flood every social platform and "small claims consumer court" and any other consumer rights' forum to give their consumers some answers and not just another scripted answer from one of their brainwashed and trained supervisors who while talking just talk policies and have lost their touch with empathy!!
I just raised a case with bbb and will be filing a legal dispute which will include:
· $35 ticket fee + fandango's convenience fee
· embarrassment and harassment compensation Mental anguish) + accidental but severe defamation suite
· lost time and energy and negligent infliction of emotional distress

I have been a member of VUDU for several years. I enjoyed the discounts I have received through the InstaWatch VUDU codes for purchase. Then Fandango purchased VUDU. It's been an uphill (cumbersome and steady) climb since then. Before, I could purchase "Get Smart: Complete Series Box Set (Bundle)" for $10 with a VUDU code. Now I have to pay the full price ($69.99) for it. It's like a slap in the face.
Fandango cut off the InstaWatch VUDU codes. VUDU customers now have to pay full price out of pocket (they could use the money for something else); instead of having the opportunity to save money through the purchasing of VUDU codes. People have hardships already, why make it worse? Another thing, VUDU and Amazon Prime, one can watch from two devices without having to re-login.
FandangoNOW, however, one can't watch from two devices. If they watch from one device, they have to reset the username and password (re-login) for the second device. Maybe Fandango can fix this so they can be up on par with VUDU and Amazon Prime. Why do people have to endure this negligence abuse?
Any suggestions?
I won two Fandango movie tickets from World Market. I was to claim them by 1/31/17. I did try to claim them about Jan 25 for a 28th show. Your software had a bug and gave me a message that the code had expired. I called Fandango and got the run around.
I sent a copy of the email as an attachment to someone who answered the phone, got a male manager who said he was named Corey, and had to send him the same attachment.
Then Corey said it had to go to some committee (really for 2, $12.00 tickets) to get okay’ed. He said it would take three-four days. I called about six days later.
The person on the phone said there was no Corey that she knew of no one who worked there. I asked if she had any record of my call on about Dec 25. No, she had nothing under my name. And of course there was no meeting.
I wrote all the execs at Fandango. None wrote back. Put this letter on Fandango facebook. No one wrote back. It has been a long time since I have experienced such a horrible company.

I purchased movie tickets online, and joined their "VIP" club, which supposedly entitles me to a refund of unused movie tickets if I cancel before the showtime. I canceled, and tried to get a refund. The website is opaque, and the only way to contact them is via "live chat". However, the live chat function is bogus: I waited for 30 minutes, and the "estimated time for response" only kept increasing. I tried to call their toll-free number many times, and always got recording saying all representatives are busy, "Please call back at a later time". Bottom line is, they took my money and gave nothing back. It's a scam.
I tried to use Fandango gift card for a matinee. Went to the theater and was told you can only use the gift card online to buy tickets. I go to the online website to purchase tickets for a matinee that starts at 1240 pm. Only to find out you have to pay FULL price for the tickets online (can't get the $5.00 matinee pricing). I contact customer service and they tell me I can use the gift card but I have to pay full price for the matinee. I find this to be false advertising, unfair and dishonest. They do not allow you to purchase matinee tickets online using gift cards. I will wait for the movie to come out on Red Box. I feel I have been cheated and misled. One more reason why I will STOP going to the overpriced theaters.
My money was not refunded and I want my money back!
I ordered some movie tickets on 12/21/2015 for $28.84 online at fandango.com and there was a problem with the fandango app and changed the theater after I purchased and was 30 minutes before the time of the show and I had to purchase the tickets at the theater again because it said that their code wasn't working to change the ticket in the theaters system so I had to repay for the tickets again!! So my kids could enjoy the Star Wars movie. Now when I called they told me because I didn't cancel before the 2hr window I lost my money!!! How is that possible when the tickets were purchased 30mins before the movie started! I mean don't you think that there has to be some exception there. That is scandalous and not right to just steal peoples money and keep it. The tickets never got used and money wasted! I am infuriated and they say u can't get the convenience fee back either!! I waited on hold 45 mins to an hr 3 different times and got three different reference #s the customer service reps were no help everyone sounded asleep and bored with my call, and I was cold transferred to a supervisor queue and had to leave a voicemail for someone to contact me in 24hrs and never heard from anyone!!!! (that is even unheard of) I finally got a hold of an supposedly actual supervisor after I called back without being cold transferred and the sup was no help he told me he would get an email to me to create a line of communication going so I can be reassured that I would be hearing from someone and said that he escalated the issue,(Josh) but still no email after he so called escalated the problem! I called again and the line just told me that they were busy and to call back later and hung up on me... I will NOT BUY FROM FANDANGO AGAIN!!
