On 10/6/17 my wife went to Famous Footwear in Freeport, ME to purchase shoes for me. She looked around the store and took pictures of shoes they had in my size and sent them to me.I read on the website that if the shoes were not in the store, that I could order them in the store and pick up the shoes from the store the same day or the next day. I informed my wife of the option and some shoes I saw on the website that I liked. I did not want any of the shoes in the store as the selection was very limited in my size.
My wife gave the style and size to the cashier. 241457 5969 CREVO Buck size 13 M. My wife inquired about the advertisement that offered store pickup the same or next day. The cashier said, "Sorry, that's no longer available for shoes we don't have in the store, we can ship it to your home in 3-5 days, if you sign up for our member rewards you will get 15% off. My wife gave my information for the member rewards. She paid for the CREVO Buck $71.73.The shoes did not arrive in 3-5 days but 6 days later.
When I received the shoes they were scuffed and scratched as if they were worn and the shoes were two different sizes! A 12 and a 13.I called the store 10/12/17 and spoke with Andrew the floating manager and told him the shoes were two different sizes, scratched up, and this is the second time I ordered from Famous Footwear and I received 2 different size shoes that were damaged!
He apologized and explained that he would contact his district manager to see if he could provide 30% discount for my next pair of shoes, and that I could call the 800 number on the reciept and they will usually send out a free pair of shoes for the inconvience.Andrew said the 30% discount was approved and to call Customer Resolution to let them rectify the issue of the wrong size and said it is common for them to send out a free pair for these types of issues.I called Customer Resolution and spoke with Sara H the supervisor. She apologized and said she would send the CREVO Buck shoes out complimentary. She lied.
Sara H the supervisor promised that she would send a complimentary pair of the CREVO Buck. She said she didn't care what I did with the shoes I received that were 2 different sizes.I told her I would return them to the store for an exchange because I could not use shoes that had been worn and were two different sizes. I needed a pair of shoes so I would exchange them. Sarah H,the supervisor, said that was okay for me to return or exchange the shoes, and she would still send out the free shoes.
Sarah H, promised on a recorded line that all she needed to do was confirm that I did speak with the manager on duty that day and he referred me to call the customer service line. I challenge the management to pull the call and honor the verbal agreement their supervisor and representative made with me to rectify the situation. They sell shoes they don't have in stock so people will have to exchange them for something less desirable. This is a SCAM and Famous Footwear did not reectify the situation as promised eveb after filing BBB complaint # 12462055.
Do not order from this company unless you would like to received damaged shoes in two different sizes!
