I am also receiving payment due notices from Family Mobile in Miami, Fl. The account was closed in April, 2017. When I call Tracfone, Walmart and T-Mobile they all say they cannot find an open account and we do not owe anything. BUT, we keep getting a monthly bill for $55.30. I even went to Walmart and the service representative tryed to talk with a supervisor and she could not find anything. At that point, this supervisor transfered me to Family Mobile and handed me the phone; when I asked for a street address, the person on the line hung up. This is very trying and I was just wondering if anyone else is having the same problem.
I cancelled my services in May and I kept calling to be sure it was cancelled and see if I owed any money. They told me multiple times, "your account is cancelled and you do not owe us any money", I then received a bill, called about it and they said "you can disregard that bill, you owe nothing and your account is cancelled. This Friday, June 30 I received ANOTHER bill and it said it was past due, so I called again. They told me the same thing. I told them I needed a supervisor, talked to the supervisor and said, someone is charging me I keep getting bills, we have to figure this out, got transferred to 4 different departments, finally got the right department. They told me "yes you owe us $139, it it past due and you have to pay it in 7 days or youre going to collections" they also said they only way I could pay was to give him my credit card info over the phone. I said I didn't have the money and I would call back. Called back today 7/5 and got the same answer "your account is cancelled, you don't owe any money" went through the whole process again, finally gave them my card # and they are charging me a $5 fee to pay over the phone, EVEN THOUGHT THEY SAID THAT WAS THE ONLY WAY TO PAY?!? I don't know if this is a scam or not!
I have phone service with family mobile, but on 6\21\2017 me and my husband went to metro pcs to look into whiching because they had two lines for $50 plus to free phones. The lady ported my number and went to do my husband's and said oh we can't give you the two free phones. We said forget it left and I got online and paid 49.88 I believe for my family mobile account, they accepted my money and then my phone didn't work for that night on. I have called five times and keep going the run around. 6/23/2017 6:30pm, 6/24/2017 8:31pm, 6/25/2017 6:30pm employee from Winchester pike Walmart store, 6/29 /2017 5:04pm, 7/1/2017 4:16pm. And online chat on 6/22/2017. Once I was told I would have to pay again to get my service back on, on 6/25/2017 when Walmart employee called they said I need new sim card my is expired, they was shipping one it would be at my house by Thursday, got home Thursday no sim card called them and the guy told me it would be at my house Friday morning 8:30am UPS, got home from work at 4:15 pm no sim card. Called Saturday lady told me ticket was already put in have to wait 24 hours, just got home from work 7/3/2017 and still nothing. I've paid for my service that I haven't had since 6/21/2017. I'm tried of waiting on not getting no where. Please help!
Charged it up lace SIM card that I had bought with phone. Phone did not work took back Nextel day got full refund. Month and a half later get bill 25.19 I must pay. Called phone number to explain and oh I need the blanking phone number. Never had one went back with phone. T noble can not help and you can not speak to anyone. If this goes on my credit report I assure you that the snow fakes in California will be sued. They need to correct this at once. Why would I owe for pre paid month to month.

I get that if you do not pay, any company will shut off your services, but how can anybody get charged for not having service; not using your service; and when you service is shut-off, you still get charged by that carrier even though you are not using or able to use that service? I called Wal-Mart Family Mobile about this today as I had just returned and paid my bill to restore my cell phone service. I paid this last week (2/8/17), paid in full and all was good, until I attempted to use my phone this morning. No service; interrupted because I had not paid my bill!
I was on the phone with somebody that simply did not answer my issue, which was and is "If I am shut off for non-payment , even though I was not using this cell for any reason, paid to have it restored and active, then get shut off 7...count them...7 days later for nearly as much as my entire monthly service is costly me for "non-payment" and only 1 day late to pay, why as I shut off for non-payment and for not using the phone for the entire month before your billing date?" Her reply was "because you have to call us and report that you are not going to use the phone." Which does not make sense because it was OFF! These people can not understand what is going on and it is even worse when you can not understand what they are saying as you attempt to give them the facts and have your payment and useage info directly in front of you.
You simply get the run-a-round and its rediculous. I have a great payment history with them, as with the majority of my services, etc, and nearly never run later than due dates. However, the issue is not me here, it is Wal-Mart Family T-Mobile. So, for the record, needing to take my phone with me today as I go about my business, needing service to stay in touch with countless individuals, I have to pay this fee to restore service until I can find a carrier that i can trust and thatis not going to happen because ever carrier has their issues. Being charged for NOT USING a service is as bad as having it, but what are we consumers going to actually do about it? I give in and up...for now.
I received a bill on August 15, 2016 saying my account was overdue. I had cancelled my account on 8/11/16 over the phone. I could not get family mobile to understand I had gone with another carrier and no longer wanted the service of family mobile.
I was then transferred to a manager who told me I had to pay a pro-rated amount and my bill would be paid in full so on August 23rd I paid the amount quoted of $35.75 was then given a confirmation number of 257 705 296. I was then told I would get a statement in the mail to show my account was closed which I never received.
On October 1st I received a letter dated September 26th threatening me, stating that if I did not pay $50.10 in ten days I would be turned over to a collection agency. I called family mobile again on Saturday, October 1st spoke to an operator who could not help me. She insisted I still owed for another month of service and would not accept that I had called and cancelled my service. She finally switched me over to a manager Angie R- ID# 1910162 who told family mobile bills in the rears whatever that means??? She said she saw the payment I made but that I still owed for another month of service. I told her that would mean I would be paying for 2 months of service to close my account I don't believe that is right. Angie insisted I owed the money and that I was given wrong information. I questioned her about their company practices and she insisted I owed the money with no consideration that I was given wrong information.
Please help me close this account without it being turned over to a collection agency.
I called and cancelled my daughters phone because she got in trouble. I was told all I owe is 54.70 and nothing else to get it back on. Well a month later I get a bill for 90 something dollars and them saying we are suspending your account, so I called them to get that straighten out plus my daughter was off punishment. I decided to get it back on. The lady proceed to tell me I was right N she was going to email them and I asked to pay the 54.70 to get phone back on that day. She told me she couldn't accept the payment until they fixed the bill and I said OK. So I waited no email or mail from them and I a actually forgot about it and now I receive a call from collection telling me I owe 112.00 bucks in which I told them I don't owe that much that I would have to talk to my family mobile.. she said OK. I called and the lady was trying to make up all kind of excuses on why I owe this amount N told me I have to email them. She did not email the for me bad customer service more so that you have to email the billing department to fix things instead of being able to call them.
When i started using them i discovered that they T-mobile) did not have full coverage in my area and i could not use my new phone at my home, and would receive'"not registered with network" notifications. I reported the issue to them and requested that they rectify the problem. Or terminate my service. At that time i was informed that it would take up to 15 days to stop service, and that my new phone which was locked into family mobile would require up to 20 days to "unlock" so i could use it with another provider. By the next morning the phone was working as advertised,and i was happy,until the next week when my service was shut off. I called them and it took 2 days to get it back on, i have paid 2 bills since then,(44.71) and suddenly i receive a "one time charge" for an additional $20.00. When i called customer service, i was told this fee was for reactivating my account. When i explained how the account being deactivated was an error on their part to begin with, and i shouldn't be getting charged for it. I was directed to the credit request website. Where i could leave an e-mail.
The fine folks at walmart have discovered another way to take your money.
After deactivating my account in error, and after 2 months of continued service, with my bills paid in full,and on time suddenly my bill has shot up by $20.00 a "one time charge" when i called customer service i was informed that it was the reactivation fee.
They are wanting me to pay them for fixing a mistake they made.
Please don't use family mobile if you have any choice, it's a total ripoff.
I bought the sim card set up for MyFamilyMobile at walmart. Iwent on web site to set up and account, but my phone would read sim card. I cancelled the setup on web site. The next day I took package back to walmart and they gave me my money back. I received a bill the first of April for $47.25. I called the service number and they wanted a password, which I never put on account because phone could not read sim card. I was told to take the bill and a picture ID to walmart and an employee could verify it was me and get account cancelled again. I did that, and when the employee ask to cancel the account (verified I had returned sim card and gotten my money back the next day) he refused and gave him another number to call. He called it and they asked to speak to me. As soon as I got on the phone she told me it was the collections department. I hung up the phone. Today I received a collections bill fromConvergent Outsourcing, In. from Renton, WA. I am sure they have ways to tell that this number was never used by me.
I had Family Mobile and loved it, but had to change recently to a new carrier. Here is the problem, there is NO WAY TO PAY YOUR BILL ONCE YOU PORT YOUR NUMBER TO A NEW CARRIER!!!! Yes, that is right, without an active Family Mobile number you can't log in to their website, the phone number for them or even where you can pay your bill inside a Walmart.
It took me over 3 hrs in the electronics department to finally have an employee reach a real person for us to speak to to try to pay the remaining balance on my bill. They said they would wave the $5 charge for paying by phone since I couldn't access my account to pay it. WELL I JUST RECEIVED A BILL FOR $5 FROM FAMILY MOBILE. Guess what? I can't access my account to pay it. I guess I will have to go to Walmart again and spend 3 hrs to resolve this, but IT GENERATE ANOTHER $5 CHARGE!!!!
I have seen where other people have this problem. Something needs to be done. Family Mobile knows about this, so they are delibertly trying to rip people off since they haven't made any attemp to fix this issue.
Dropped Family Mobel January 2nd. Recieved a closing bill for double the amount of the monthly payment. My payments were due no later than the 5th of the month. Called customer service they explained Family Mobile billing cycle was post billing from the 16th on one month to the16th of the next. You paid for last months bill the following month. Essentially your billing due date was not important. The have referred me to Customre Relations to attemp to resovle this issue. I would suggest anyone having a problem with Wal-Mart Family Mobile/T-Mobile file a complant with Consumer Protection. This is just another "rig-off" of consumers.
I canceled my Walmart Family mobile plan in January. It is now March and I have not had the service for over 2 months. In January when I closed out my account they said that I owe $46. I paid that balance at a Walmart store. Then in the mail a few months later they keep saying I still owe the $46 that I already paid. when the customer service department is called all I can get is either a computer or a foreign person that is insufficient in English. No one will talk to me because I don't remember some four digit pin that I supposedly used to create my account years ago. When I go to a walmart store they play dumb and when you call they won't talk to you!
I found at that for the price of my 3g plan I could have been receiving 5g data didn't find this out until I called to lower my plan to the34.88 plan was told it was lowered but it wasn't when I called they stated I was given wrong info the 34.88 was no longer available and that my bill amount was the same I was now getting 5g instead of 3g which I could of taken advantage of over a year ago had I been made aware of it the agent and the supervisor were very rude over talking me and no apologies were made so now after 3 years of service I am leaving family mobile bc you get what you pay for not to mention their call center is over seas and no one can barely understand you when you do call in ReportComment
I was gifted a tmobile walmart family mobile phone.after 2 months the bill increased and i rarely had serivce.i quit using it period.as i was under the impression it was no contract.i recieved a bill and was told i will be sent to collections.
i called several numbers in attempts to resolve this issue and was constanly in a run around.to top it off i recived information concering my credit,and now have another issue thanks to tmobile.
I tried to pay my phone bill over the phone on the voice mail one when u call over phone and it was telling me it didnt work but did and took 150 dollars off my card and they only gave me 50 back and told me i was going to get the other money and never did its been to weeks my phone is off at this time i can only get calls if u can call me at 814i really need my money back on my caed pleas and thank you my email is @gmail.com name kerystal williams live in eire state p.a hope to here from you thank you... its a ssi card and says master card on it
