I moved from NYC to Farfield Properties in Farmingville for one year. Worst year of my life! I was shocked over and over at the incompetent and agressively obnoxious people working there. I had a gas leak and they hung up on me and I had to sleep overnight with a gas leak! They overcharged me by $3,000 and I had to get a laywer. They agreed to reduce that bill to $60.00 (I never even understood what they were over charging me for) and then I just got my security deposit back and it wasn't the full amount! I moved out 2 weeks early and spent 3 days painting and fixing everything so it was perfect - even though they were going to renovate anyway. I spoke with many neighbors and not one single neighbor wanted to stay and they all also said there were billing issues. Do not move into a Fairfield Property!!

Just stay away from it.... I mean stay away from any property managed by fairfield. You will regret every aspect of it. The service, fines, lease terms, lawyer fees, security deposit. I went through a lot of pain with this management and I wish nobody should fall prey to these crooks who want to take a big chunk of your hard earned money... simply disgusting management driven by enormous greed.

If you want to keep reading, I was once charged with lawyer fees of around $200 for sending a check which didn't clear due to a bank error. I had to end lease couple of months early but I ended up paying for the remaining months + $500 admin fee. On top of it, they cut $550 from my security deposit even though I had left the apartment in mint condition.

The only way to contest with them is to go to the court becasue if you call the office, they will just show you the contract terms, NO exceptions. There are no humans working at fairfield offices, YOU BETTER TRUST ME ON THAT.

I moved into this Fairfield 2nd floor apt over 2 months ago and do not have a secure door, air conditioning in the main part of the apt and on hot days can barely breathe, gfi breaker needs to be pushed in for the bathroom lights to go on, the switch doesnt work...Homeless people live in their vehicles, bushes, and according to other tenants they even live in the clubhouse and scream if you try to enter inc the laundryroom. They say the police know and claim they cant do anything...

Fairfield Properties I moved into a 2nd floor unit in May. No working air conditioner and door was damaged according to the maintenance not an eviction but more like a home invasion. Countless call to property manager and main office and rhey refuse to even acknowledge my complaints. Meanwhile there are homeless people living in the clubhouse, in cars, and literally in the bushes. Other tenants claim they do nothing and ignore all complaints. This is an over 55 community and we have been living in a sweltering hot apt that is unsecured since the metal doir is peeled back anyone can enter with a credit card or butter knife. I am contacting my attorney tomorrow since they refuse to address the air conditioning i have to assume if the heat is broken too they will never repair that either. I am a fulltime real estate agent and find their attitudes to be rather shocking and disturbing. And in order to turn on the bathroom light you have to push in the gfi breaker...certainly nothing like the real luxury home rentals i rent...

Fairfield Properties

The worst place to live. Management office impossible to reach and nasty to tenants. Maintenance barely exists. Accounting dept constantly making billing errors. Security impossible to get back. But the best part is if u would like rats living in your apt and walking across it Then This Is The Place for U. No stars. The worst.

Recommended not renting this properties. I paid the deposit for an apt and cancelled before 72 hours, never get the 400 dollars refund. I called the lease agent, She said she will call the management for refund. After 3 months, i called the management and got the nasty respond from the receptionist to the refund person and then the managers. Three days later they told me it will not be refunded as i cancelled after 72 hours when actually their leasing agent know and confirmed they need to refund to me as i cancelled before 72 hours. They stole your money. Does not matter you are paying a deposit for apt or your security deposit after moving out. When this situation happened to me and I went and look the review in the internet i saw several complains about this. Stay away from them people

Nightmare

Horrible

Makenzie up fees, steal your money.

Lie about it. Then never let you talk to a single person in their office.

Apartment has cracked areas around window and ac units with stains, look like mold. They want to just paint it.

Laundry room has broken machines, frequent floods.

Grounds smell like backed up septic tank.

A shit hole

Fairfield Properties are the worst, most unprofessiona, corrupt people to deal with. I would'nt tell my worst enemy to buy or rent a coop from them. They are owned by a law firm. They will take you to court at the drop of a hat. The most evil, corrupt, greed filled business I've ever had the displeasure of dealing with. The development in n. Babylon is like a ghost town. No one can sell their coops. And now, I just got a letter that all owners are only allowed to sublet (rent) for 3 years. We are suppose to be the owners. Who are they to tell us we can't rent out anymore. I'm going to the press with this one These people have to be stopped. If we all group together and inform the media about all the corruption, we can make a change.

This company brings you to court if you are two weeks late in your rent, and I spoke to other tenants - they never return your full deposit to you. They find some small thing wrong that happens in every single apartment when rented - and VERY SMALL thing and charge you half, 3/4 or your whole deposit.

They are all over the internet for not returning deposits - take pictures and make someone from fairfield sign that the aparmtent is OK and that nothing is wrong when you leave.

Make sure you get the manager on premise to sign something. You will not get back your security depost.
