Beware of these guys! While they were working on a house on Scott Circle in Frisco TX, they hopped the fence and stole my ladder so they can use themselves. What kind of contractor can't even supply his own ladder? We had to go over and ask for it back, to which his guy's stated that their boss said it was ok for them to hop the fence and grab my ladder. Are you kidding me? I also heard his guy's talking behind his back about how he hires anyone without checking anything on them.
One guy said he gave him a fake name. The amount of trash piled up in the back was obvious they were doing major renovations in the house. Yet I could not find any permits listed with the city. Some of the trash included sinks, toilets, and a water heater. Yet, there is no plumbing license attached to Fair Estimates LLC, nor was their one for Mark Horvath in the state of Texas. Also saw plenty of electrical trash, which tells me they were doing electrical work. But I could not find a license attached to either, just like the plumbing.
Seeing other rip off reports, it makes sense why these guys would run off to another state and start over. Further research I found these guys have been to at least 3 different states and had to run off. They are obviously wannabe contractors who are here to scam people. It's also obvious that these guys are rookies. The boss, Mark Horvath, couldn't even cut a rose bush safely without getting hit and yelling out like a girl. Always do your research on who you hire. Ask them for proof of licenses and insurance. If they cannot produce evidence, they are obviously frauds.
I highly doubt these guys are insured if they claim to be licensed (as stated on their vans) yet Texas has no record. If they employ people with fake names, they either hire felons, or illegal immigrants. If the owner bothers to file a rebuttal to this, yes I would like proof of your permits, license, and insurance. But please feel free to ignore this request, Mark, as I am sure you have none. I will advise you though, that I will be filing this with the state as well so that they can investigate. I do not appreciate contractors who steal from others, as you attempted to steal from me. If you attempted to steal from me, you most likely are also ripping off your client. People like you make the rest of us honest contractors look bad.
