On May 7th 2018 I ordered a Jeep CJ-7 from EZJEEPS.COM, spoke on the phone with Mr. Sarafian, the owner. He agreed to find a Jeep CJ-7 and refurbish it with a target delivery date of 1st Oct 2018. I work for Dept. of State, overseas in Afghanistan and my next R@R will be in October so the delivery time would have been perfect. I gave Mr. Sarafian a $3,000 dollars deposit and he sent me the contract for me to sign and return. On the contract, specifically states that "the deposit is non-refundable only if you fail to take delivery of the vehicle purchased when complete". On the 3rd of July 2018 unfortunatelly, we got the bad news that my wife is affected with cervical cancer and I contacted Mr. Sarafian and asked him to please cancell my order and refund me the full deposit since the vehicle was not even located yet to start the build and I need the money for the upcoming medical bills. He stated that he had made 4 trips and had spent time on line trying to locate my vehicle and that was going to cost me half of my deposit but he will give me the other half as a credit, good for one year, in the event that I decide to order another vehicle. That is not what the contract that I signed states. To add insult to injury, the cancellation and credit form that he sent me, states that I do have a $1,500 dollars credit but I still have to put another deposit if I decide to order another vehicle in the future. What sense does that make? I have included the pictures of the contract and the contract cancellation letter.
