On 7/28/2017 we purchased a tool 1:18 car/light truck - stainless steel multiplier from a company called EZ Lug Wrench as well as a 1:64 Hybrid Adjustable - Blue Multiplier. They shipped late but we received the item. We used it when we received it. It was defective. We called an employee at Ez LugWrench and talked with a guy named Jeff on August 9th, 2017. We also stated the case for our other product arrived damaged. He stated that the 1:18 multipliers weren't working very well for their customers and that we could get a refund of our money. They have a 14 day return refund policy.
He stated that the lifetime warranty would apply for the 1:18 tool if we wanted it replaced and the case for the 1:64 wrench and we could send pictures of the defective items. We did immediately. He said that it qualified for the warranty. Weeks went by. On Aug 24th, 2017, we sent another email to Jeff stating that we haven't heard anything. jeff replied that same day and stated their shipment was late.
On Oct 19th, we again contacted Ez Lug Wrench to see where our refund was. We noticed that Jeff told us to send the unit back to them. We sent another follow-up email stating that they would do a refund without sending the unit back costing us more to send it back than what we paid for it. We never heard back.
On Oct 19th, we received an email after complaining about the delayed responses. They said that Jeff is no longer with the company and that they needed the product back, walking back what Jeff had told us about the bad product in the first place. If we paid for a return, it would cost just as much as the tool it self.
On Nov 11th, they finally emailed us stating that they would only ship out a new multiplier and didn't need the other one in return. We requested a refund as discussed with their employee and a new case for the other tool. They refused to honor it and delayed it so far out with empty promises that we couldn't call our credit card company to ask for our money back. It's a scam and they don't even stand behind their own tools.
