This company is the main distributor of the Aqua tank 2 Water storage bag. I received a defective bag from sub company, Baytec containers that I paid $127.97 for. This company failed to honor their hassle free return policy and I was forced to contact PayPal with whom I made my card purchase through as the water bladder was leaking from the seam. Baytec containers requested I provide a 3rd party evaluation to prove the bag was defective. I did this and provided credentials.
The evaluation proved I was in the right and the bag was indeed defective. I contacted Extra packaging, LLC to inform the main distributor of the situation and to seek resolution. I spoke with a Renny from sales. She told me over my recorded phone call that I could purchase a separate bag for $95 at a discounted price. I was not sure what the outcome of my dispute with Baytec would be and we agreed that when I called back if I still needed the bag that would be the price.
I called back after I received my refund from PayPal and Renny said she remembered who I was and I could make the order. Renny charged my card for $150. I contacted Renny via phone and email telling her this was not the price agreed upon and that the conversation was recorded. After she asked what the price was and I told her it was $95. She said that was fine and then charged my card $109.75. I told her once again this was not correct and she later responded by email stating only, "THERE IS SHIPPING".
I would of been fine with the charge had she previously stated the total amount. Renny nor the receipt or invoice provided stated there was a shipping charge.I told her to send the bag and charge me whatever and I would take it up with her superior. I asked to be forwarded to her supervisor due to the unprofessionalism. The next day she had canceled my order completely. I decided to call the Executive office myself and spoke to Shane. He requested I send him the recorded conversation and emails with Renny. I did this and he said he would review the information and get back to me. After 2 days he contacted me via email stating he had meeting with Bryan and the owner.
His response as follows,
I have reviewed your emails and spoken with Renny. Additionally, I have spoken with Bryan Kramer as well as the owner of the company.
It is the management’s decision that we can no longer honor the price that you were provided. This sale should have been directed to one of our other distributors. Below are three names of distributors that offer the Aquatank II products with links to their websites.
Shane's tone seemed to of changed overnight. he had previously stated that he wanted to sell me a bag. Then he refused to deal with me at all after reviewing my evidence.
In so, I feel this company has conducted itself in an unprofessional manner in way that is extremely unfair and time wasting to the consumer and should be investigated for their business practices in all departments. A company should be obligated to honor their word and policy and should have better ethic than provided.
