Expert Staffing Reviews
Expert Staffing Partners located in Worcester, Ma is a very unethical staffing agency.
The company has several Federal and State Tax liens for unpaid withholding (941) taxes for the years 2016, 2017, 2018 and 2019 (8 liens filed between 5/16/2019 and 2/25/2020). Between the state and federal taxing agencies they owe approximately $7.2 million. It appears from the tax liens that the company paid their withholding taxes 1- 2 years late. This is public information that can be found on www.masslandrecords.com by clicking on Worcester County and searching by the term "expert."
The company used to be called Expert Staffing Healthcare but renamed itself to Expert Staffing Partners in 2012. According to the Massachusetts Secretary of State (MA SOS) website, Expert Staffing Healthcare was dissolved on 9/21/16 and Expert Staffing Partners was incorporated on 11/5/2015. MA SOS website is http://corp.sec.state.ma.us/CorpWeb/CorpSearch/CorpSearch.aspx
The COO of Expert Staffing Partners, Julie Coleman, has 2 Federal tax liens against her - one for $648.33 for unpaid individual (1040) taxes for 2008 (filed 11/3/2009) and another for $476,805.54 for unpaid individual (1040) taxes for the years 2013-2018 (filed 11/26/2019). This is also public information found on www,masslandrecords.com, clicking on Worcester County and search by name. She and her boss, William Stark, were brought to court by Coworx (case No. 2005436F) for breach of contract but were not found guilty on 2/7/2007. The court case shows they have had an employer/employee relationship since at least late 2004.This is also public information found by doing a google search by name.
William Stark has owned Expert Staffing Partners since 2012. Julie Coleman is employed by Stark. She was the VP of Expert Staffing Partners in 2015, 2016, 2017 and 2018 according to the articles of incorporation and annual filings found on the Massachusetts Secretary of State website. A review of these same documents shows that Julie Coleman's name does not appear on these filings after 10/30/2018 and it is assumed she is no longer the VP of the company for the years 2019 and 2020 and possibly onward. She is seemingly no longer an officer or director of the company according to the Massachusetts Secretary of State website, as well. It could be assumed that after the $476K Federal tax lien was assessed against her, she was demoted to COO. But then this is just an assumption.
Julie Coleman seems to run the company as COO as she does her taxes - with assumably utter disregard and disrepect for the rule of law. If something is brought to her attention, she assumably does not care about it nor the consequences inaction could bring. She assumes the employee will take care of it. She seems to take a large paycheck on the backs of the peons she supposedly manages with no seeming responsibility for the day to day operations of the company. She assumes the rules do not apply to her or the company. She assumably only cares to look good by wearing designer clothes and makeup to hide what is really seemingly going on in her life. She does seeimngly like to scream and yell and demean and treat condescendingly every employee she assumably manages possibly to make herself seem more important than everyone else around her.
She does appear to always want to one up a person at any given moment by making her experience and education seem more important than that person's experience and education. She seemingly says she gives a care about a person's experience and education but then in the same moment she doesn't because when something bad happens, its seemingly the employee's fault not hers. She seems to hire only young latino and some young white women who are not a threat. It could be she is seemingly praying on their inexperience and age so they do not question her motives, just seemingly put up with her demoralizing and toxic personality.
You can see the seeming fear and dread in their eyes every time they have to encounter miss coleman by phone, email or in person. The majority of employees at the corporate office are young latino and young white women and it appears this is the same at the branches. There are seemingly some employees who do not care for Julie Coleman as a person and seemingly know about her tax lien and the company's tax liens. Why they seemingly still work for the company is anyone's guess.
Julie Coleman and her boss, William Stark, only care about the money coming in to the company and not how the company's books are kept. The company is mired in heavy reporting by excel spreadsheets, messy accounting practices and ever changing and cumbersome policies and procedures that have to be done by a certain time otherwise the wrath of the owner or coo may be upon you. The company has 2 accounting systems, one for the temporary and permanent employees, and another to pay their vendors. Neither one seems to be fully capable of giving an accurate picture of the company's financial position at any given moment in time. Upper managment and HR have their own offices and seem to have important papers all over their offices and not in secure filing cabinets.
The company also has full credit card numbers stored in public drives where anyone can find them. They also have a temporary employee being allowed to take home vendor payment information for filing purposes. These practices could be in violation of local and federal laws regarding privacy but according to some of the employees, this is all seemingly fine according to the coo.
