This guy Michael Dubrow is the BIGGEST scam artist in the construction industry in the Oklahoma City metro area. In October of 2016 we signed up with Mike to remodel our entire home and to build a 2 car garage with 2 bedrooms on to the existing home. After 10 months we had finally had enough and fired him, there was constant lying and misleading by Mike and also way below standard of building practices. Now that we have a real contractor numerous MAJOR hazards have been discovered. The electrical was nowhere near up to code and our new contractor told us if the home would have remained wired the way Mike had it done a major home fire would have occurred. He told us the window company made a mistake and that why it took 6 months to get our windows, now that we spoke with the window company we found out that Mike ordered all the windows backwards and he also told us that it was taking a long time for them to come in because we ordered them with black trim on the outside and white on the inside.
After speaking with the window company we discovered that to save money Mike spray painted the outside of the window trim which has voided the warranty on $15,000 worth of windows and that they will have to be replaced as the paint won't last. Not to mention he badmouthed the window company blaming them for the unexpected wait times, wrong sized windows etc; when in actuality he had pocketed some of the window draw leaving a balance, leaving the unpaid windows at the window company. Which is why they were never "accidentally delivered to his shop". He would collect extra money & pick one up and, spray paint it & bring it over. He also did not have the home properly weather proofed and flooded our entire home and ruined the wood floors in the home not once BUT twice. If Mike's mouth is moving he is being dishonest. Other than the electrical he also was supposed to replace all the existing siding on the home with stucco.
Our new contractor has now discovered that Mike didn't even remove the old siding, he just nailed green board to the old siding and the green board was not even nailed to the studs on the home which mean in strong winds the new green board and stucco would just fall off the home. I finally fired Mike when he tried to rush the stem wall on the addition and I thought it looked smaller then it was supposed to be and sure enough he tried to sneak and cut 3 feet off the entire addition which means a 2 car garage door was not even going to fit. If I wouldn't have happened to have been at the home that day I would have been out of even more money. This is literally the top of the iceberg with this guy.
Mike took draws for numerous things (over 40k) saying that it was for deposits and those contractors did not receive a dime of that money. We are pursuing legal action against Mike as he has already been served and not responded to our attorney. Do your research, do not hire this guy, if you look up his legal history he has a track record of scamming people. Do not believe the 1 positive review that you see on google, houzz, bbb, or home advisor (my reviews keep getting removed which I'm sure has happened to others who keep leaving any negativity) as I guarantee you the review is from him or the company that manages his website. We have found out that he is not even insured like him and his website tells people which puts customers at a huge liability. YOU'VE BEEN WARDNED!!! Don't make the mistake we did. We are taking this dead beat to court just as numerous people have had to do in the past.
