I saw a 2000 Purple KW900l at the end on June, called and talked to Tyler and put the deposit down. Was told it would be ready 1st week of July. It took 3 weeks to get the Title. I was about to pick up Truck and was told its back in the shop for electrical issues. Finally I was called the 2nd week of August and was told truck was ready. Rented a car to go to Indy to pick the truck up. Got there Friday morning, 2 flat tires and a loud air leak. Had to order part. Speedometer still not working. Was told the DOT was done and passed. Said I could drive it to my shop to have it DOT'ed. DOT failed, brake lights not working, turn signal not working. Saturday checked the truck and found the Coolant overflow tank filled with Oil. Check engine light for Fuel pump and the starter was acting up. The A*hole owner Chris Carter said bring it back and there shop would fix it. I said why cant my shop fix it. He then gets mad and says I'll just refund your money because I can tell this is gonna be a problem for both of us. I had already filled the tanks and the driver side tank sprung a leak. I told him to come get his truck and bring my deposit with him. Issues wrong with this truck are bad starter, Exhaust flex pipe broke, right exhaust stack loose, passenger side door wont open, fuel pump, cracked fuel tank, steer tire had hole patched, retreads on drives dont match, cant lock the cargo doors, cant open the sleeper doors, speedometer doesn't work, no one knows how many miles is on it, 5th wheel is cracked also. 2000 KW900l Studio Sleeper.
Please be very aware of this company. I am not going to write a story bashing this company, I will tell the truth about my experience and nothing else. I was in the market to lease a used truck and I came across excelerate leasing. I checked out their website and viewed the equipment they had available on the lot in indy. I went to their Indianapolis location and checked out a 2012 kenworth t700 with about 579k miles on it. Long story short, I filled out the paperwork for this truck paid my deposit and pulled off with the truck. The process was very simple. I headed to the nearest truck stop to put fuel in the truck due to the fact they leased it to me on E. On my way to the truck stop the DoD warning light came on. Now anybody who knows anything about a truck knows that once this light comes on you cannot ignore it. After the DoD light cane on the check engine light and the shut down engine light also illuminated
I decided to take the truck back being that I was only about a couple miles from excelerate leasing. Upon my arrival I spoke with Tyler Moore the gentleman I just leased this truck from. I explained to Tyler what had happened and he wanted me to take the truck to a shop they were affiliated with I decided that I didn't want to start the lease off in the shop so I informed him I didn't want to go thru with the lease on the kenworth t700. Tyler Moore became upset at this fact. I explained to him that I didn't want to wait not did I have the time to wait for him to get another truck from Columbus, Ohio so he gave me back my deposit but beat me out the $200 I put in the fuel tank. Th eddy could have treated me a little better but it's all good it was a good learning experience. My advice for anyone planning on using this company do your homework 1st because if you don't you can get burned.
