I filed my taxes in April 2018 for the previous year (2017) with Etax.com. They said I was owed a refund by the state of Kansas. I printed out the return, submitted it to the state of Kansas, received my refund and that was it....Now almost eight months later I get a letter from The Kansas Dept. of Revenue saying I owe them money because the taxes filed by Etax.com were WRONG. I call Etax.com and guess what? Here's what they said; "Yes we made a mistake but you (meaning I) will have to refund the money to the State of Kansas. So why did I stop doing my taxes myself and start paying Etax.com to do them? It's because they promise that if anything like this ever happens they will take responsibility for their mistakes and pay back money that is owed due to a mistake on their part. Well this is a downright LIE. I will not use them again and you shouldn't either. They actually got down right nasty. I trusted them to do my taxes correctly and they didn't and now I have to pay back money that I don't have because of Etax.com. Stay Away!
Its really a sad world when your hard eared $$$.&your faith in a comp. DON'T LET YOU CANCEL OR REVIEW A COMPLETED 1040 THE ONE ETAX SENDS TO IRS. You are also not allowed to cancel any transaction with E tax when you discovered something was wrong.I begged verbally via phone to supervisor to cancel me that everything is totally not what had entered.to stop ETAX serv. THEY wouldn't let me.then I also asked before I agreed that there will not be any surprised hidden fees.3 times promised that it would be a one time fee of 19.99 E tax took 120.00. From me when I couldn't cancel.I prayed FOR irs to find something to delay return.etax should be charged for stealing, fraud.causing emotional stress and hardship.due to their scam.Iam a widow,soul suport.there was no penaltys,fines,eic,or deductions.a kindergarner could of done my tax .I use to be a tax preparer,I'm getting older &lazyer,So I put my trust in E tax. AND this is what I got.0

Was told I would be charged$19.95to file my taxes. They ended up taking over$100 out of my return.
