More than once perhaps over several years ESURANCE CALIFORNIA deducted premiums using my credit card without and in defiance of my verbal authorizations. The last two times were August 2017 and February 2018. I was able to stop and reverse the February charge but not the August one. I confronted an Esuarance executive about this fraud and she preferred that I write a letter to the California Department of Insurance and the California Attorney General. She never responded to my verbal complaint after her investigation. My suspicion is that Deep Insuarance fraud is going on with numerous insurees or former insureds across the state. An honorable company would choose to right their wrongful actions. They are either sociopaths or psychopaths.
My policy was for $597.25 for 6 months. When I told the esurance guy my miles went up from 7,000 per year to 30,000 per year they said my rate would go from $597.25 to $6,185.25!!! I'm an uber driver and when logged onto uber I'm insured by them. Not one mile added was to be covered under esurance. I told them I would never pay that rate yet they charged me anyway, BEWARE of Esurance!! they are a total rip off and when you tell them you will never pay that rate they will charge you anyway and try to take it directly from your bank.
Fortunately I was able to do a charge back for thid outrages charge! But now they are trying to collect this through a collection agency whom I told I'm never paying because I told the original agent I'd NEVER pay that rate! they charged me anyway. Now I'm stuck taking them to small claims court to try and get this charge removed and recoup any punitive charges the Judge may give me. WARNING!! Do not buy Esurance or Allstate insurnace, their premiums are a total rip off and they will charge you without your permission!
I was ripped off by esurance.they quoted me a rate and right after I accepted the insurance they increased my rate from 150.00 to 244.00 a month, claimed there was a incident reguarding the accident that did not show when they pulled the 1st report. they could have told me this before i accepted the policy and took my 305.00 dollars. the insurance specialist as she called herself made it sound like it was all my fault ,I was truthfull with them and did not hide anything ,I asked them to pull a report just in case there was something i overlooked. so now i am stuck with them for a month because it will take my bank at least 7 days for a refund and i can not afford another 350.00 up front in the same day.
This is a very shady company I read a review similiar to mine of the same thing happening,they should not be able to rip off innocent consumers this way!
I had Esurance and the requested a update of my milage. When I updated it to 10,000 miles more per year they raised my rate over 2000%! I told them I would never pay this rate and they still charged me. They even tried to collect the money from my wifes account which I paid the bill with but since it was FRAUD the bank returned the money. They are now trying to collect this. My rate when from $107 per month to $1500 per month for 10000 miles per year more?!?! TOTAL RIP OFF AND I NEVER AGEED TO THIS!! BEWARE OF ALL STATE INSURANCE OR ESURANCE, THEY ARE A SCAM COMPANY!!
I changed my insurance to MERCURY and pay $140 per month. When asked how they justify charging $1500 per month when Mercurcy (and every other company) charges $140 they had no comment. SCAM ARTISTS TO THE BONE!
If you have any business with these companyies I highly recommend you cancel and find someone else reputable before they rip you off!
Scammed by Esurance. I was promised a rate of $448 and after I gave my bank information over $900 was taken out due to a "discrepancy". I cancelled the policy of course but then during communication with a different rep she advised me to re-open the policy and they would in fact honor the rate given since I was misinformed by the first rep. This was all verified via recorded calls. I was told the funds would be back into my checking account 5/9 or 5/10 at the latest- also on a recorded call. I cancelled my current provider Monday. Today I get a call the request was denied, even after admitting fault, and they still have my $908 from my account that they were never authorized to take out. Completely overdrew my account and I have no idea when I will get my money back.
Esurance is a fraud and needs a class action suit brought up against them for demanding information that is not insurance related. They demanded information on my mother in law and when i didnt give it to them they raised my insurance from $130 to $228 a month but they took $458 without premission. I didnt not authorize or ok the increase they did not call me before taking the money. I will not give information to an insurance company on a person who i am not insuring.
On November 5.. I purchased Home Insurance for my new 2014 Manufactured Home!
After doing a detail search online, Esurance was the victor! After filing out their
Questionnaire and clearly checking the box for Manufactured home! They billed
My mortgage company and they paid the yearly premium! November 10 Esurance
Sent their appraiser to verify the home had wood siding. Now on December 15
I received a letter for Esurance for cancellation notice because it’s a manufactured Home? So they bait to come in and grab your money draw interest on your money
Than drop you! I am a Senior citizen on disability and can not afford legal representation!
