I purchased a two-question e-mail reading ($250.00 usd) from erin pavlina and felt scammed. I knew her ex-husband steve pavlina and have also briefly exchanged e-mails with erin before and thought that i was their "friend" and know that she at least knows my career. I have always believed erin to be a genuine psychic, and made sure i was in a "high vibration" before the reading so that she can read me well and put full trust into her. However, she was unfriendly and rude And seemed like she wasn't that happy or something is up and she is kind of disinterested) when i was asking about other things before i paid, but i decided to ignore that thinking it was nothing.

Okay, after i paid her and gave her my photo and questions, she replies saying that "for an email reading i need you to give me enough information so i know what we're talking about" and that "if you ask vague questions you will get vague answers" But i thought my questions are clear enough? -_- and erin is very rude here, isn't she?) and then added about six more questions which i find bothersome, one of them being whether i am a student or working which felt like she looked down on me and never knew me before or never did her homework. It felt like she is either blind or stupid or both. But i still decided to ignore this thinking that if i answered some things in a lot of detail I wrote many paragraphs in return) that this would get her to talk to my spirit guides and my guides will take care of the rest. And i still decided to trust her and think all of this was nothing, based on my friendship with steve pavlina, and my previous Brief) e-mails with erin some year ago, where she even told me that "you are so sweet" when i asked about one of her contacts.

What i got was a paragraph-long answer for each question with very superficial sentences, mostly thoughts/advice from her biased/logical/reasoning mind and assumptions and not psychic advice. Nothing that she gave was true and concrete, or psychic advice. She even gave me advice about my career where my heart wants to scream, and is obviously her assumption, ego, biased opinion/reasoning. However, if it were like 4 years ago when i was still uncertain about many things, i might have considered her career advice and thought it to be some kind of "sign." fortunately these days it is clear to me that what she said about my career is not advice i should follow. Like said on the #1 comment on http://www.Edgeofgrace.Net/2009/01/05/review-of-a-psychic-erin-pavlina/comment-page-1/#comments, "no actual psychic information was communicated here." and that she assumed things about me that might be generally assumed by many people E.G., career status) but is actually wrong. I encourage everyone to read the #1 comment on that page written by chris as well as the comment by "registeredwriter" March 2009) on https://www.Sitepoint.com/community/t/seriously-sick-of-steve-pavlina/4221. Their description of their experience being scammed by erin describes my customer experience very well. It really resonated with me when the "registeredwriter" person said her readings are like getting advice from a high-school counselor. That really fits erin pavlina -- a lame high school counselor giving ridiculous advice.

She also seems uneducated in certain other common sense things and didn't seem to know that my country is actually a real country in this world. Even when i brought it up to her, she seemed so air-headed and asked me how my country's name should be displayed when i previously sent her a link to a page i wrote regarding this issue. Beware: you might give her a link about something and she doesn't bother to do her homework if her careless brain thinks it has nothing to do with anything.) i am saying this in case you might think erin is "well-educated"... She seems very air-headed in many common-sense things! this, and that she was quite rude and unprofessional. Like i can sense that she isn't that happy with her life, despite what she might have led many other people to believe.

Regarding her psychic reading, she didn't answer my questions and instead answers other questions that i are too "duh" for me and that i don't need to know That i can succeed anywhere, that i have amazing potential, that i will have a high vibration if my days are full of the things i love to do and not what i should be doing, etc... These things that i doubt is psychic advice but something like a forer effect Barnum effect) thing mixed with intuitive things and cold reading).

Maybe she might have used to give genuine psychic readings in the years she started till 2009 A guess here), and then since then started scamming people. If you look around the internet, you can see people commenting about their bad experience with erin pavlina during the past years since 2009. Not sure whether she did this after she split with steve pavlina or whether she already did it before that but to a lower extent. I am guessing she could be genuine to some people Especially during phone readings) and maybe lack the ability to do it that well via e-mail readings but claims on http://www.Erinpavlina.com/readings that "the fast turnaround has made the email readings extremely popular. Ask one question, 2 questions, 3 questions, or you can now buy a 5-pack of readings to redeem whenever you have a question. The answers will be thorough and complete and are just as accurate as phone readings," which is a lie. And maybe many of the people who claim that her readings are accurate are fooled by those "you have great potential" or other intuitve guesses that erin happens to get lucky on and are mostly forer effect and cold reading, but the client could not tell the difference and therefore says the reading he/she got was accurate.

And just in case, i thought i share links to more pages related to erin pavlina's scamming and fradulent behavior: http://www.Andrewlynch.Net/2009/08/07/update-on-erin-pavlina-and-why-i-disagree-with-what-she-does-so-much/, http://www.Spsreviewforum.com/threads/4331-erin-pavlina-www-erinpavlina-com,You need to log in to see her reviews here), and http://www.Spsreviewforum.com/forums/116-psychic-s-discussions/page5 If you cannot log in to the second link, then at least find erin pavlina's thread and see that she only has a one-star rating)... Nobody who posted at the spells, psychics, spirit review forum Sps review forum) had a good experience with erin pavlina.

Be careful, erin pavlina seems quite talented in fooling people into believing that she is the "world renowned" psychic and she even has blog posts telling you how to avoid common psychic scams. She is very talented with her blog posts! it seems natural that one would believe her to be "genuine" based on her blog posts. She is very clever here... She scams people in other ways that are not the common psychic scams and is quite a tricky fellow.

But one look at her "tone" and attitude when booking a reading with her and how she answers some of the "quick answers to quick questions" blog post on her site, you might can realize that she doesn't seem that happy with her life, despite her claiming that she is "happy" with her life and loves what she does. Has anyone else noticed this? Or did everyone believe what she says about her being happy with her life and career path? Maybe she thinks she is happy with her life and "loves what she does" for a living but doesn't know herself that, deep inside, she is actually unhappy! unhappy with what, i am not sure, but something is not right! thought i bring this up in case others were blind like me and overlooked this detail on erin.)

Just in case, i will include information about reporting fraud transactions via paypal. Check here: https://www.Paypal.com/us/selfhelp/article/how-do-i-report-potential-fraud-to-paypal-faq2422 and https://www.Paypal.com/webscr?Cmd=_complaint-view&nav=0.5 you will have to actually write a message to erin, and this has to be done within months of making the payment to her. But at least better than nothing! i encourage people to directly use the paypal form instead of e-mailing her your complaint/feelings/etc, so that paypal might can take care of it legally.

And about her not knowing that the country i live in is actually a country, this did made me wonder about certain things and i asked her some questions before booking the reading, and she just gave me a cold "if your gut is telling you not to get a reading i would trust that. If you do want a reading, then trust the process or you will sabotage your reading. You are putting barriers in the way of getting a reading so that tells me there is a mistrust here and you don't want to go into a reading with that energy. Give it some thought." so it looks like she is "genuine" here telling me about my gut and other things... I am saying this to give everyone an idea on some things that she is very clever on, making her look "genuine" and so-called "thoughtful and kind." i did think she was very unfriendly with her response but also felt that she commanded some kind of "authority" with these sentences about my gut, but at that time i overlooked it believing her and because of my connection/friendship with steve pavlina and also herself.

I used to see erin pavlina as my "friend," or at least "acquaintance," based on our past personal e-mail exchanges. But this experience opened my eyes and told me that she is a snake oil businesswoman/salesperson. I don't know about steve though - i had better experience with steve and steve seems much more like a friend/acquaintance to me, but this experience plus some "small" things from steve is making me wonder about his credibility and integrity as a human being, especially when he preaches things like truth and integrity, and yet seems to not do anything about his ex-wife's But still good friend) psychic scamming that has been going on at least since 2009. Yes, erin pavlina is a fraud with her e-mail readings, but she is quite a clever one! beware.

Weak

I purchased an email reading that was not only ridiculous, it was completely wrong and thus, useless. Not the real deal like many others. Her books are equally weak but she knows how to talk the talk on her website, and that is how she ensnares...buyers beware.
