I woke up sat in my room and around 12:40 pm 2 men come to the door and try to talk to my grandparents about soap, then the two men come in and try to sell an air purifier and a $2800 vacuum, that they could give to them at the price of $1250 plus tax, at 3:10 pm when I finally bathed out and told my grandparents I needed a ride to the mall really quickly, the man got the hint and started to leave. He spent over 2 hours while my grandparents were cooking and trying to watch their daily soaps. But the guy would not leave, Eric Johnson, he eventually released several of the same points, asking nearly 50 questions repeating them asking what’s important, clean air? Yes, we already have a working $400 vacuum that in reality works better than this piece of junk. Finally after inappropriately pacing around the house, and having the second guy come in and out I convinced them to leave, after 2 plus hours of soliciting. It was a super inappropriate and inconvenient way to spend my afternoon and for my grandparents as well.
This company operates out of 2775 Francis St NE, Palm Bay, Florida 32905, and is run by an Eric N. Johnson who is the “company president”. You will recognize the employees who wear scrubs, like if they were medical professionals. Please do not be fooled by their antics as they will also try to provide you with an American flag or detergent or something silly to get you to open the door and offer you a presentation. Unfortunately being the nice person I am I let them in, to hear them out because since they just wanted to demonstrate an air purifier (in fact they are selling a Tristar Vacuum, or should I say the Aire Jett). Once they get inside the guy will try to say whatever he needs to so that you buy this vacuum, also they will barely say a word about the air purifier.
The “Scam”:
This I am sure is a way to ensure they can lock-in elderly persons by ensuring they cover all legal bases prior to their departure leaving the unsuspecting elderly persons to pay for thousands of dollars for a “Miracle” vacuum cleaner. They gain peoples trust by stating they are a “health” company and they say you are living in FILTH as if we didn’t take any health classes in school, to sway you into purchasing their product by implying its “good” for your health. One of my favorite parts was when the salesman tugs at your heartstrings by mentioning his children will get to go to Disney if he sells this vacuum to you which is a “Need” anyway, you know… for your health!. They will tell you the vacuum will never smell “bad” like other vacuums (which it does) the demonstration is flawed as they not only compare your used older vacuum with a brand NEW vacuum that would not smell anyway. Then for good measure they add scented oils on a napkin inside the filter so that it smells great, however it will just mask foul smells that are actually coming from the vacuum.
I fell for this obvious scam and am more upset at myself for not catching on sooner, but they are definitely good at making themselves seem like “nice” people, who want to sell people better “healthier” lives. Last but not least once you’re on the ropes they tell you if you purchase this amazing product before they leave you will get $700 in a discount. Upon further research I found out that the $2,800.00 discounted price was actually FULL price, they only told me that to sucker me in, which explains why the two salesmen told me the wrong price a few times(dead giveaway).
Lastly they cover themselves by getting you to do a written survey that says that these “nice” people you just met did not sucker you in to anything, and also call to get an audio recorded statement which states the same thing (they are good). Finally you sign a contract that gives you only 3 days to give the vacuum you just purchased back, which makes you financially liable to pay the full price of this vacuum. Then the salesman told me thank you for sending his children to Disney world! Within a day they came by to see if I loved! This new vacuum I had still to really use (FYI it takes longer to find flaws in products). When I realized the horrible mistake I made I sent the company a letter in regards to my dissatisfaction and what could I do to give it back, Instead of a call I received a generic letter that tells me essentially that the company might try to “Take legal action” (ha ha I know!! Seriously) if they lose money on the crap deal they give you and they add insult to injury by sending you a CD of your conversation the following day of the presentation they gave. Seriously they are clever slimy salesman looking to make a lot of money off trusting good hearted people.
I made a horrible mistake in trusting salesmen especially a door to door salesman, however after being suckered into this I can only imagine the amount of elderly people they have tricked into giving away their retirement money for a vacuum. They are very skillful into locking you into a contract and making it extremely difficult to get out of. The sooo called A+ they have from the Better Business Bureau(BBB) comes from the lack of people making actual claims against them, usually its elderly people since that is their prime target I am sure that are not tech savvy and would not know how to make a complaint. They sure love to use their BBB rating as a way to gain trust amongst other things they do. I am a service member and a professional and the way this company practices and misuses the credibility and image of other professional institutions (mainly the health field) as their own credibility is shameful. I am extremely angry and dissatisfied with the way they treat their customers. I never received a call back from the owner Mr. Johnson and I have tried for over a month, I have received nothing but excuses and “oh he hasn’t called you yet?” I took the time to write this narrative to ensure other people hopefully find this before it’s too late!

The ctaim from their preditory lender (AQUA FINANCE INC) is that there is a $1100 hundred owed on this equipment is fraudulent and still exists on
my credit report. They were requested to remove this damaging and irreparable
harm information from my credit report by Dec 2015 to avoid further liabilities, but never replied to my letter.
