If I could give less stars to review I would. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY. They ripped me and fiance off so bad on our 2,000 tiki purchase. If there is an Issue they will not make good of it. I never ever complain but this was a terrible mess that we went into battle through amex to try to get money back. I have phone logs, emails and pics to document our entire experience!
We unpackaged Tiki and discovered initial damage of one leg was broken broke and a few scratches. The damaged policy said that items received as damaged had to be reported within 3 days. We decided to bite the bullet and accept the damages as is and didn’t report.
6/17/16:
Call was placed to Frank Azzolino to let him know of the severe deterioration
and damage that the bar experienced in just two weeks of owning it. Within two weeks, both the top bar and lower inside level bar had huge bubbling, swelling and separation in the bamboo. The color was already fading as well. You couldn’t even put a glass on the top without it tipping over. The issue was told to him verbally over the phone, and Frank asked my fiance to email
him pictures.
The warranty from the site endlesssummersun.com/page8.php clearly states:
Warranty is 30 days on all bamboo products. Please read our page on how to care or and maintain your bamboo tiki bar, hut, concession stand or stools. Please check the particular product section for warranty information on non-bamboo products.
There is no instruction on how to go about submitting a warranty claim, just says within 30 days. Our call to Frank was made and received on 6/17/16, which is within the 30 days of delivery, two weeks to be exact. It does not say to submit pictures or put anything in writing. So our claim was made verbally within the 30 days.
6/16/16: Pictures were immediately taken and time-stamped. We never hear back from him, and found out that he didn’t receive the the email and pics as the files were too big large.
Email was recent on 7/11/16 at smaller sizes. I have the pictures time stamped on 6/16/16, and issue was already considered reported.
7/13/16: Frank’s response to us was that the pictures were not good enough but that he would fight the fight and get back to us... we never heard back. This is a flat surface, so very difficult to show in pics. Note a cup would no longer stand on it it was so wavy and buckled. (unfortunately can't post pics of how bad it was)
7/25/16: After never hearing back from him, and frustrated now at this point,
I emailed him follow-up as the damage was so much worse and pretty much unused able. And sent way more pics of new damage.
His response was he what the warranty states on the website and there was nothing he could do.
This went on a while until we filed claim with Amex, Frank denied it and sent us a new top. We put new top on and it is 10 time worse than original. We sealed it with product recommended multiple times, and it is covered in thick outdoor furniture cover when we are not using it.
this product is garbage and does not stand the elements outside. Unless you have it indoors or safe out of humidity and elements DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS COMPANY.
This is a 2,000 piece of garbage that was complete waste of money, and is so ugly in the back yard now, we plan to use for fire wood in spring. Message me anytime if you want pics of what your product will look like within weeks of being outside. They say to seal it once every 30 days, but it was destroyed in two weeks, so what is the point.
Further its says company is in Chester NJ, but they are outsourced from another manufature in Seattle Washington, so we assumed we could pick up in NJ that weekend instead after it was ordered it was 500 to ship and took weeks.
can't say enough this was a terrible experience and waste of money and could of been resolved so much differently.
